FLNG Construction – LR Introduce Rules
LR say theirs are the first comprehensive Rules for FLNG facilities to be based on a real-world project. At the World Gas Conference 2012 in Kuala Lumpur, LR launched its Rules for Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) Platforms, formulated through their extensive work with Shell on its Prelude FLNG project . Upon completion, Prelude will be the largest manmade floating object, measuring 488m long and displacing 600,000 tonnes of water.

Incat Crowther announced the launch of the 24m Catamaran Ro-Pax Ferry, Runö. The vessel was recently launched by Baltic Workboats in Estonia and successfully completed sea trials. Runö is the second Incat Crowther-designed vessel to be built by Baltic Workboats, after Vėjūnas, a 24m Catamaran Scientific Research Vessel. Runö will be operated in the Gulf of Riga, Estonia, between the mainland port of Parnu and the islands of Runhu and Saaremaa.
