Subsea 7 Orders Heavy Construction Vessel
Subsea 7 S.A. has contracted Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) to build the new ship. She will be deployed globally to meet increasing market demands for executing ever- larger and more complex projects. She will have 2,600m2 deck area (for equipment carriage), a 600t Active Heave Compensated offshore crane, a 325t top tension vertical lay system and a 7,000t under-deck basket for storage of flexible pipes, umbilicals and cables.
Keel Laid for World's First FLNG Project
Shell has laid the keel for 'Prelude FLNG', the worldās first floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project. When complete, Prelude is expected to be the largest offshore floating facility ever built. The hull will now be assembled in the dry dock, before the turret and the topsides are fitted at Samsung Heavy Industriesā Geoje shipyard in South Korea. āThis is a key milestone in Preludeās story,ā said Rob Kretzers, Shell Executive Vice President Projects.

From 2010 to 2012, the Port of Houston Authority (PHA) handled a total of 311,314 twenty-foot equivalent units of trade with Brazil. Blue North Order 'Green' Alaska Commercial Fishing Boat
Blue North has contracted Dakota Creek Industries in Anacortes, Washington, to build an eco-friendly, technologically advanced fishing vessel.
