Development and verification testing is now completed for the first version of the BIMCO EEDI Calculator which is now ready for download from the BIMCO web site. BIMCO has developed the easy-to-use EEDI Calculator to assist its members calculating the EEDI and plotting a ship’s index against the relevant ship type specific regulatory limits imposed by MARPOL Annex VI. The EEDI Calculator is an implementation of the calculation guideline contained in IMO Circular MEPC.1/Circ.681.
