Imtech N.V. (technical services provider in Europe) is acting as technology partner of PlanetSolar, a solar energy powered ship. In 2011, PlanetSolar will set sail on a world cruise of approximately 50,000 km, with the aim of promoting solar energy and the use of environmentally-conscious alternative fuel for sailing. PlanetSolar is a high-tech 85 ton, 31 meters (101.7 ft) long and 15 meters (49.2 ft) wide catamaran, covered by 537 m2 of solar panels.

TDW Offshore Completes Pipeline Pressure Isolation
TDW Offshore Services AS (TDW) has completed a key pipeline pressure isolation and joint testing operation offshore western Borneo in Malaysia for Sarawak Shell Berhad. TDW worked on platform F23P-A, which is part of the facilities operated by Sarawak Shell Berhad located 80 to 200 km from Miri and Bintulu. The operation was carried out on a gas export line that forms a portion of the line that runs from the F23P-A to the E11R-A platform.
Hallin Awarded $8M West Africa Project
Integrated subsea contractor Hallin Marine is mobilizing its vessel, Ullswater, after winning a saturation diving contract offshore Angola. The DP2 Ullswater, equipped with saturation and air diving systems, a Hallin C-ROV and all personnel, will repair a 16-inch pipeline and carry out inspections on various platforms. Operatec, an Angolan company, and Superior Energy Services have been performing diving services under a long term maintenance contract since mid 2009.
