New Jackup Delivered to EnscoRowan

Singapore-based rig builder Keppel FELS announced Friday it has delivered a new jackup rig to EnscoRowan. The US based driller, the product of a recent merger between Ensco and Rowan, has a contract to deploy the rig in the UK North Sea.The harsh environment newbuild ENSCO 123 is constructed to an enhanced version of Keppel’s state-of-the-art KFELS Super A Class design, the builder said. It was ordered by Ensco in November 2013 and originally planned for delivery in 2016.ENSCO 123 is the ninth harsh environment jackup built and delivered by Keppel to EnscoRowan.

Keppel Bags $118mln Upgrading Contracts

Floatel Gets Martin Linge Extension

Swedish contractor Floatel International has received a new extension from Equinor for its accommodation unit Floatel Superior at the Martin Linge Field Development in Norway’s North Sea.The onshore operational support and supervision company said in a press release that Floatel Superior started its charter at Equinor’s Martin Linge project at the end of July 2018. Keppel Delivers Jack-up Rig to Grupo R

Singapore's Keppel FELS has delivered the jackup rig, Cantarell IV, to Grupo R with a perfect safety record.The wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M) said that as part of the deal, Grupo R has entered into a sale and leaseback agreement with FELS Asset, another wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel O&M.FELS Asset will purchase the rig from Grupo R for US$179m which is equivalent to the balance contract value of the rig. Cantarell IV will be leased back to Grupo R on a bareboat charter at competitive day rates over five years.

Keppel Wins FPSO, FSRU Contracts

Following the Letter of Intent signed by Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Keppel FELS Limited, with Awilco Drilling PLC, Keppel has secured the contract to construct a mid-water semisubmersible (semi) drilling rig for harsh environment use worth about $425 million. Singapore Arrests Former Keppel Execs in Brazil Bribery Case

A number of former executives of Keppel Corp have been arrested by Singaporean authorities in a probe related to charges its rig-building unit bribed Brazilian officials, Singapore’s Straits Times newspaper reported. The report said that  six executives had been arrested by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB), including Tay Kim Hock, former president and chief executive of Keppel Fels Brasil, and are currently out on bail. Keppel O&M to Pay US$422m to Resolve Petrobras Issue

Keppel Corporation Limited (Keppel Corporation or Keppel) today confirmed that KOM has reached a global resolution with criminal authorities in the United States, Brazil and Singapore in relation to corrupt payments made by KOM's former agent in Brazil,  Zwi Skornicki. As part of the global resolution, KOM has accepted a conditional warning from the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) in Singapore, and entered into a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) with the U.S.

Keppel Secures $130 mln in Projects

Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) has, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Keppel FELS Brasil S.A. and Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard), secured projects from repeat customers, Petrobras and SOFEC Inc. (SOFEC) respectively, worth a combined value of approximately S$130 million. Keppel FELS Brasil's BrasFELS shipyard has secured hull carry over work for the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit P-69 from Tupi BV (a consortium formed by Petrobras Netherlands B.V., operator with 65%; Shell with 25%; and Petrogal Brasil with 10%), which is represented by Petrobras. The additional work scope on P-69 includes the installation of equipment and cables for the hull as well as the commissioning of marine systems.

BrasFELS Delivers Fifth FPSO Project for MODEC

Keppel Offshore & Marine's (Keppel O&M) wholly owned subsidiary Keppel FELS Brasil's BrasFELS shipyard in Brazil has delivered the Cidade de Campos dos Goytacazes MV29, a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, to repeat customer MODEC Offshore Production Systems (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., an EPCI arm of the MODEC, Inc. group (MODEC). The FPSO was completed safely, on time and within budget, and departed the shipyard recently for the Bananal Bay in Brazil. Keppel on Track to Deliver Rig for Caspian Drilling

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M) through its subsidiary in Azerbaijan, Caspian Shipyard Company (CSC), is on track to deliver a semisubmersible drilling rig to Caspian Drilling Company Ltd, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR). The rig was named Heydar Aliyev at a ceremony in Azerbaijan today by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. Built to Keppel FELS' proprietary DSSTM 38M design, the rig has been customized for the Caspian Sea's harsh environment condition. It is the first modern semisubmersible to be almost completely built in Azerbaijan.

Pasha Hawaii Taps Keppel Fels to Build LNG-Fueled Boxships

Honolulu-based Pasha Hawaii today announced that the company has selected Keppel AmFELS in Brownsville, TX, a subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) for the construction of two new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) fueled containerships, with the option to order two additional vessels. Singapore’s shipyards are looking to recent investments in capacity, design and newly acquired technology to combat order declines after a decades-long offshore buildup. Sembcorp and peer Keppel are making the most of partnerships in FLNG and showing signs they’ll be okay through the downturn, helped by their gas-hungry Australasian backyard and renewed ties with old charterer parties and suppliers. With drilling contractors unable to pay for the offshore rigs they’ve ordered, Singapore’s heavyweight yards have had to defer deliveries and become defacto rig owners.

Keppel Delivers FPSO for Brazil

Keppel Offshore & Marine’s shipyard in Brazil, BrasFELS, has delivered P-66, the first of the Replicante series of floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) units, to Tupi BV. Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through its wholly owned subsidiary, Keppel FELS Brasil SA's BrasFELS shipyard, has delivered the FPSO P-66 to Tupi BV (a consortium formed by Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobras, operator with 65 percent; BG E&P Brasil - a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc, with 25 percent; and Petrogal Brasil with 10 percent), which is represented by Petrobras. P-66 departed the shipyard on February 4, 2017 to be deployed in the Lula Sul field, Santos Basin, Brazil. BrasFELS was engaged for two Replicante projects, P-66 and P-69.

Maersk Invincible Delivered

Maersk Drilling has taken delivery of its fourth XLE jack-up rig, the Maersk Invincible, from Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) in South Korea. Maersk Invincible will now mobilise to the North Sea and will in the second quarter of 2017 commence a five year firm contract with Aker BP for plug and abandonment work on the Valhall field. Maersk Invincible is the fourth and final rig in a series of four ultra-harsh environment jack-up rigs to enter Maersk Drilling’s fleet. The first three jack-up rigs have been delivered from the Keppel FELS shipyard.

Seadrill, a London-headquartered offshore drilling contractor, said that Asia Offshore Drilling (AOD) has received three-year contract extensions for two jack-up rigs from Saudi Aramco. The jack-ups AOD I and AOD II received three year contract extensions from Saudi Aramco expiring in June 2019 and July 2019, respectively. AOD is an associate company of Mermaid Maritime and Mermaid has 3.76 percent equity stake in AOD while the other 66.24 percent equity is owned by Seadrill.

Keppel FELS Delivers Accommodation Unit to Floatel

Keppel FELS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) has delivered Floatel Triumph, a fifth high-specification accommodation semisubmersible (semi), to Floatel International Ltd (Floatel). The semi, which is built to Keppel's proprietary SSAUTM5000NG design, will be chartered by Chevron Corporation for work in the Wheatstone field in Western Australia. Floatel Triumph is scheduled to arrive on location in mid-October 2016. Thereafter, it will work for INPEX Operations Australia in Ichthys Field, off Western Australia.

Ltd., a MODEC, Inc. group company, for a contract value of over BRL 500 million (SGD190 million). BrasFELS' work scope for this project comprises the fabrication and integration of nine topside production modules for the FPSO Cidade de Campos dos Goytacazes MV29. The vessel is expected to arrive at the shipyard by the first quarter of 2017 for the integration phase.
