Everllence Ammonia Engine Passes Factory Acceptance Test

Everllence has announced the successful factory acceptance test (FAT) of its first ammonia-burning engine built by licensee Engine & Machinery of Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI-EMD) in South Korea.The dual-fuel Everllence B&W 6G60ME-LGIA (-liquid gas injection ammonia) type is slated for a vessel for Singapore-based, Eastern Pacific Shipping currently under construction at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in Korea. The engine also comes equipped with HPSCR (High Pressure Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology.The first very large ammonia carrier is scheduled for delivery in October 2026.

Everllence Confirms Testing of Ethanol-Fueled Engine

Marine Power: The World's Most Powerful Methanol Engine

MAN Energy Solutions will deliver the world's most powerful two-stroke methanol engine in June 2025. The engine, an MAN B&W 12G95ME-C10.5-LGIM (-Liquid Gas Injection Methanol) type rated at 82,440 kW @ 80rpm, is currently being built by Chinese licensee, CSSC-MES Diesel Co., Ltd. (CMD).The engine is the first of 12 bound for a series of 12 × 24,000 teu container vessels currently under construction: seven at Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (NACKS) for shipowner, Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. (OOCL); and five at Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd.

MAN’s Full-Scale Ammonia Engine Runs at 100% Load

Hartmann Orders ME-LGIP Engines for LPG Tankers

MAN Energy Solutions won a contract to supply individual MAN B&W ME-LGIP (Liquid Gas Injection Propane) dual-fuel engines to three 5,000-cubiic-meter-capacity liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tankers currently under construction by CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (CIMC-SOE) in Shanghai for German shipping company Hartmann Gas Carrier.Each newbuilding will receive a propulsion package featuring one 5S35ME-LGIP engine with an Alpha controllable pitch propeller, power take-off (PTO) and propulsion control system (PCS).
