Northern Lights Partners with MAN Engines & Components

Northern Lights announced a new partnership with MAN Engines & Components, when on June 30 2021, Northern Lights acquired MAN Engines West Coast distributor Rabaul Diesel Inc (RDI). Northern Lights  said the deal with MAN is a great addition to its family of products including Northern Lights marine generators, Technicold air conditioning, refrigeration, ice machines & Lugger propulsion engines.Also headquartered in Seattle, WA Northern Lights intends to operate under Northern Lights Power and Energy for the Western US and Canada.

United Wind Logistics' New Deck Carrier Delivered in China

Volkswagen Attracts Bids for MAN Energy Solutions Unit

Volkswagen has attracted bids from Europe's Innio, Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy and U.S.-based Cummins for its MAN Energy Solutions, which makes diesel engines for ships and power generators, people close to the matter said.Innio, formerly known as Jenbacher and owned by buyout group Advent, as well as the two other bidders last week made bids for the VW unit, which could have a valuation of 1.5-2 billion euros ($1.7-$2.2 billion) in a potential sale, they said.Other bidders such as Hyundai Heavy are no longer in the running, they added.The divestment is part of Volkswagen's efforts to slim down and simplify the group which has 12 brands…

Shipbuilder Metal Shark is significantly expanding its presence in the fireboat market with a diverse range of fireboats currently in production for multiple customers. FAT Testing Complete for M/V George III Main Engines

Pasha Hawaii reports that factory acceptance testing (FAT) of the dual-fueled, MAN Diesel & Turbo ME-GI main engine has been completed for the M/V George III, the first of two 774-ft., U.S. Jones Act, LNG-fueled containerships being built at Keppel AmFELS in Brownsville, TX. Shell: A Cost Saver for Chinese RoRos

Shell Marine integrated solutions have saved the equivalent of around $123,000 annually for its customer China’s operator of RoRo tonnage Hainan Strait Shipping.On Shell’s advice, Hainan Strait Shipping had switched its trunk piston engine oils to a combination of Shell Argina S3 40 and Shell Gadinia S3 40 for six ships operating in the South China Sea.With this change, Hainan Strait Shipping was able to reduce maintenance and lubricant costs, while improving the efficiency and longevity of its MAN Diesel & Turbo main and auxiliary engines.Joris van Brussel, Global General Manager, Shell Marine, said: “The solutions we put forward enabled Hainan Strait Shipping to optimise marine engine performance.

MethaShip Project Projects Methanol as Future Fuel

MAN Okays Chevron's Taro Cylinder Lubricants

MAN to Deliver Propulsion for Pasha’s LNG Containerships
