Trafigura, Phillips 66 to Build Deepwater Texas Oil Port

Global commodities trader Trafigura said on Friday it had formed a joint venture with U.S. refiner Phillips 66 to build a major deepwater port in Texas capable of handling supertankers, ditching its own competing project.The Bluewater Texas Terminal, which will be located 21 nautical miles east of the entrance to Corpus Christi port, will consist of two single point mooring buoys that can load Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) capable of carrying around 2 million barrels of oil.Genevaā€¦

Busan Builds Logistics Center in Rotterdam

Singapore Gives 50% Port Dues Concession

Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) will be giving a 50% port dues concession to passenger ships, to provide relief to ship owners and operators who have seen a drop in passenger volumes because of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) outbreak.All cruise vessels and regional ferries with a port stay of not more than five days, and passenger-carrying harbour craft will qualify for the new concession.According to MPA, it is expected to benefit more than 600 cruise vesselsā€¦

Operations to raise a livestock carrier that capsized in the Black sea off Romania in November came to a close on Tuesday night, said local marine services firm Gruup Servici Petoliere (GSP).The Palau-registered Queen Hind flipped onto its side shortly after leaving Romania's Midia port en route to Saudi Arabia at the end of November 2019. Mexican liquefied natural gas (LNG) company Enestas is planning to build the first first dual LNG and liquid ethane port terminal in Mexico.The new facility is located on the Gulf Coast and unloads directly from vessels up to 22,000 m3 in size. The facility features an automated storage and unloading system.
