Fueltrax Earns Certification by Verifavia

PISR, VERIFAVIA Enter Verification Service Agreement

Verifavia, an environmental verification, certification and auditing body for aviation and maritime transport and will work with Palau International Ship Registry (PISR) to provide IMO Data Collection System (DCS) verification services to Palau-flagged vessels. The DCS reporting process uses the method of reporting of fuel oil consumption. Verifavia will provide PISR vessels with a complete reviewed Data Collection Plan (DCP). They will be built-into the SEEMP Part II by December 31, 2018, allowing PISR to issue a Confirmation of Compliance to its fleet by May 31, 2020.

Verifavia to Provide IMO DCS Services for Liberian-flagged Ships

Emissions verification company for the transport sector Verifavia said it has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Liberian Registry to conduct IMO DCS and EU MRV verification services for Liberian-flagged vessels. The Liberian Registry – the second largest in the world – includes more than 4,200 vessels aggregating 150+ million gross metric tons, representing 12 percent of the world’s ocean going fleet. StormGeo Receives EU MRV Certification

StormGeo’s shipping division (formerly AWT) has received its certification as an EU MRV supplier by Verifavia Shipping. The European Union’s decision to monitor CO2 emissions for most vessels in excess of 5000 gross tons affects owners or vessel managers with ships that are calling on ports in EU member states. The EU requires ship-specific monitoring plans to be in place by August 31, 2017, including being MRV compliant for Monitoring, Reporting and Verification. ABB Launches Emissions Monitoring Module

A new development from ABB will enable customers to monitor emissions according to the EU’s Monitoring Reporting and Verification (MRV) regulation requirements, which come into effect January 1, 2018. ABB’s MRV module has been certified by the independent certifier Verifavia, as a tool to monitor all parameters to comply with the EU’s MRV regulation requirements. Verifavia Earns Dual Accreditation
