NNS Wins Nuclear Sub Work

Northrop Grumman Newport News, Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $22,915,958 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract for engineering and technical services to remove and install Submarine Safe Antenna Systems onboard U.S. Nuclear Submarines and related technical data. Work will be performed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (23 percent); Portsmouth, N.H. (11 percent), Bremerton, Wash. (11 percent), Norfolk, Va. (11 percent); Newport News, Va. (11 percent); Portsmouth, Va. (11 percent); San Diego (11 percent); and New London, Conn. (11 percent), and is to be completed by May 2005. Contract funds in the amount of $560,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via publication in Fedbizops, with solicitations forwarded to four firms with two offers received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia is the contracting activity. (N65540-02-D-0044)
