One of the biggest and most modern ship repair yards in the Middle East, Oman Drydock Company (ODC), has recently received its first LNG carrier, the Muscat LNG, owned by Oman Shipping Corporation SAOC. PARAT Halvorsen AS has been awarded an order for an 8000 kgs/h Steam Boiler Plant to be installed in the factory trawler, Northern Hawk, which is owned by the United States fishing company, Coastal Villages Pollock, LLC. Northern Hawk is a Stern Trawler, built by the shipyard Ulstein Hatlø in 1990. New Service to Houston's Care Terminal
CaytransBBC has introduced regular sailings of its breakbulk vessels from the Port of Houston Authority's Care Terminal in Houston to Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago twice a month. Wärtsilä Corporation reached agreement with the Board of Hamworthy plc, a UK listed engineering company focussed on the marine and oil and gas sectors, in regards to a recommended cash offer for the acquisition of Hamworthy.
