Ingalls Delivers Hangar for Navy Destroyer
Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) announced that its Ingalls Shipbuilding division has delivered the composite hangar that will be used on the U.S. Navy's second Zumwalt-class guided missile destroyer, Michael Monsoor (DDG 1001). The 220-ton structure will be translated to a shipping barge and sent to Maine in early October. Ingalls is building the hangar, peripheral vertical launch system (PVLS) and composite deckhouse for Michael Monsoor.

Pronomar Drying Systems on Statoil Platform
Hertel, a global industrial services company with European roots, headquartered in Rotterdam/NL, recently signed a contract to engineer, design and construct the accommodation on a Statoil platform, to be located in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. To complete the platform and accommodate the crew on the platform, Hertel asked Pronomar to deliver its Top Trock drying systems to be installed in on-site cabinets.

Huisman Brazil Receives First Order
Huisman, one of the worldwide specialist in lifting, drilling and subsea solutions, has received a first order for their new production facility in Brazil. The new order includes three sets of five cranes, which will be manufactured as soon as construction of the Brazilian production facility is completed in 2014. The sets of cranes are scheduled for delivery between Q3 2015 and Q1 2017. The order includes three identical sets of cranes for the new build vessels Cassino, Curumim and Salinas.
Samskip Launches Weekly Shortsea Service to Norway
As of September 30, Samskip Multimodal introduces its own weekly shortsea service to the Norwegian West Coast, connecting its pan-European network to Tananger, Bergen and Ålesund via Rotterdam, the Netherlands, deploying the 518 TEU MV Pioneer Bay. With a guaranteed weekly departure on Tuesdays, the shortsea service is available between Rotterdam, the Netherlands and Tananger, Bergen and Ålesund, Norway, with possible inducement calls to Måløy and other Norwegian ports.

Parat Halvorsen as has been rewarded a new contract with Vard Singapore Pte. Ltd for their NB792, a Platform Supply Vessel to be constructed at their shipyard Vang Tau in Vietnam. The 1250kW electric boiler will be delivered as a combined Hot Water & Steam Boiler. Parat will deliver a complete boiler plant consisting of all necessary equipment for tank heating (fulfilling the NOFO 2009 requirements) and in addition also the hot water supply for central heating and domestic water system.

Ecosse Subsea Systems (ESS) has completed a £4.7 million boulder clearing and pre-lay trenching project which it claims has been one of the most successful ever conducted for the wind energy sector. As subcontractor to Siem Offshore Contractors (SOC), the Banchory-based subsea specialist completed 86 boulder clearing passes followed by 172 first and multi-passes over a 90km route during a 13-week boulder clearing and trenching campaign on the EnBW Baltic 2 offshore wind farm project.
Romar Award Frontier £650,000 for Personnel Management
Aberdeenshire-based oilfield service company Romar International has awarded the contract of the management of its offshore workforce to Frontier International, an Aberdeen based international oil and gas recruitment company. The personnel management contract, worth £650,000 in year one will require Frontier International to provide the management and logistics for up to 35 offshore operational personnel to support Romar’s North Sea and international operations.
