Australian Navy Visits Timor-Leste for Maritime Training
Royal Australian Navy Minehunter, HMAS Diamantina, is visiting Timor-Leste for four days, to engage with the Timor-Leste Defense Force (F FDTL) Naval Component in a new phase of Australia’s close Defense relationship with the country. As part of Australia’s Defense Cooperation Program with Timor-Leste, Diamantina’s crew took members of the F-FDTL to sea to share expertise in navigation, seamanship, damage control and engineering training skills.

Protesters in Kenya blocked truckers on the only highway from Mombasa port to the capital Nairobi on Friday, threatening to choke the main trade artery with much of east Africa.
BHP Supports Ebola Response Efforts
In response to the widespread devastation caused by the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, BHP Billiton Sustainable Communities has donated US$400,000 to the Pooled World Health Organisation (WHO) Ebola Response fund. The contribution from BHP Billiton will provide immediate actions to support affected countries and will provide interventions in neighbouring at risk countries until December 2014. BHP Billiton has worked in West Africa for a number of years through its iron ore exploration assets.
Kalmar Reachstackers for Felixstowe
Kalmar, part of Cargotec, will deliver four reachstackers for laden handling to the Port of Felixstowe in the UK. The reachstackers have a capacity of 45 tons and are supplied with a telescopic Bromma spreader which incorporates fully integrated overheight legs for out-of-gauge cargo handling duties. Search & Rescue Ops for Missing Aircrew Abandoned
U.S. forces in the North Arabian Gulf concluded a search and rescue operation for a missing U.S. Marine Corps aircrew member today at 3:00 p.m. (GMT), after efforts to locate him were unsuccessful. The Marine is presumed lost at sea. The Marine aircrew member went into the water yesterday when the aircraft he was aboard lost power shortly after takeoff from USS Makin Island (LHD 8). Another air crewman also exited the aircraft at the same time and was safely recovered.

ExxonMobil Donates $18 mi to Houston Health Institutions
ExxonMobil today announced $18 million in grants to Houston health care facilities to support cancer prevention and cardiovascular research, expand pediatric care for children with autism and enhance pediatric liver disease research and clinical services.
