VT Halter Marine, Inc., a company of Vision Technologies Systems, Inc. (VT Systems), announced it has delivered a combination container and roll-on/roll-off car truck carrier (ConRo), MV Marjorie C, to Pasha Hawaii. Diana Shipping fixes Post-Panamax
Diana Shipping Inc. announced today that through a separate wholly owned subsidiary, it entered into a time charter contract with ADM International Sarl, Rolle, Switzerland, for one of its Post-Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Alcmene. The gross charter rate is US$6,750 per day minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum twenty-one (21) months to about twenty-four (24) months. The charter is expected to commence on May 12, 2015.

D’Amico Sees Q1 Net Profit of $11.4Mln
Italy-listed D'Amico International Shipping (DIS) made a net profit of $11.4m in the first quarter, reversing its net loss of $6.8m last year, as the product tanker freight market improved. The board of the product tanker owner on Wednesday approved first quarter 2015 results of base time charter revenues (TCE) of $77 million. "Our company has achieved net profits of $11.4 million thanks to a fast-growing tanker market," said CEO Marco Fiori.
Maersk to Pay for Release of Seized Ship?
There have been reports that members of the crew of the cargo ship Maersk Tigris that had been detained by Iranian authorities, have been released Wednesday. The statement was made by the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s Spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham, as quoted by AFP information agency. She noted that all people on board are in ‘’good health’’ and can receive counselor services immediately if needed. Ms Afkhim added that the ship could be immediately released if ‘’its overdue debt is settled’’.
