Moose Boats Delivers M1-44 to U.S. Park Police
Moose Boats, an aluminum boat manufacturer, delivers a M1-44’ catamaran to the US Park Police in New York Harbor. The M1-44’ all aluminum catamaran is powered by twin 600hp Cummins diesel engines coupled to twin Hamilton 322 water-jets with Hamilton Blue Arrow Controls and includes a second full upper station. The boat features an extra wide fully enclosed cabin complete with a mini-galley, large work station, dinette and three shock mitigating seats.
Sub HMS Trenchant Upgrades with Thales Sonar
HMS Trenchant, the Royal Navy's (RN’s) most capable and up-to-date Trafalgar-class nuclear-powered hunter-killer submarine (SSN), has been ceremonially welcomed back into the operational fleet with upgraded state-of-the-art sonar from Thales. As part of a major refit programme that started in late 2009, the submarine has been fitted with Thales’s world-class Sonar 2076 Stage 5 system, and additional upgrades such as Tomahawk cruise missile capability.

Swedish commuter ferry operator Stirsöbolage has become the first Scandinavian company to benefit from the new Zodiac MES ESS automatic escape slide. This follows the installation of three 3.4 meter slides aboard the Älvsnabben 4 during a routine refit at the Swede Ship yard in GĹ‘teborg. The Zodiac slides and accompanying reversible 100 person life rafts were designed to be launched from the boat’s bridge at the touch of a button, without any crew input.
