(FSG) shipyard in Flensburg, Germany. Following four years of study and research, the design stage was completed.
Tideland Buoys and Lights for Nakheel's Dubai Developments
Tideland Signal supplied a large quantity of buoys—complete with lanterns, moorings and bridge lights—to Nakheel Marine Group of Dubai for its Palm Deira, Palm Jebel Ali and The World developments. The bulk of the Tideland equipment comprises 13 SB-285P buoys marking the exclusion zones at Palm Deira and Palm Jebel Ali and 43 SB-138P buoys deployed as lateral marks at both Palm Islands and also at the World development.

Metal Shark Expansion Creates 200 Jobs
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and Metal Shark Boats President Chris Allard announced the company will make a $1.52 million capital investment to expand its Jeanerette shipyard in support of military, law enforcement agency and commercial boat contracts. The expansion will create 88 new direct jobs, with an average salary of more than $62,000, plus benefits, and Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will result in an additional 134 new indirect jobs, for a total of 222 new jobs.
