JonRie’s New Towing System for Crystal Cutler
JonRie commissioned its new Series 500 Towing System on the new 1,200 kW Tug Crystal Cutler built for Poling and Cutler Marine Transportation, Freehold, NJ USA. The winch features JonRie's independent drive level wind and also features an independent drive gypsy head. The winch boast a line pull of 25 tons, a line speed of 18 M/m and drum brake with the capacity of 125 tons. The capacity of the drum is 500 M of 38mm wire.

In the early hours of 26 November, the MV Medi Chennai was attacked approximately 880 nautical miles (1,600 kilometres) East of Port Victoria, Seychelles. This is the furthest east attack ever registered by EU NAVFOR since the beginning of its Operation in December 2008, the last eastern most attack being 60 nautical miles west from this one. The MV Medi Chennai reported it was under attack and being fired upon with small arms and Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPG).

Ecospeed reported that when a 965-ft cruise vessel came into drydock in the Bahamas last month after sailing with the company’s hull coating for two years, less than 1% of the underwater hull needed touch ups and no new paint layers were required on the rest of the underwater hull.
