Leading integrated turnkey subsea and offshore solutions provider, Unique Maritime Group, says it has signed a Joint Venture (J/V) with OEG Offshore (OEG), to offer rental and sale of offshore equipment in the Middle East region. The new joint venture company, OEG Unique, which will be based in UAE & QATAR, will provide local access to OEG’s full range of over 200 individual certified designs of DNV 2.7-1 certified Cargo Carrying Units (CCUs) and A60 modules across the GCC countries.

The Coast Guard says it is continuing its response to the grounded towing vessel 'Kimberly Selvick' in Lake Michigan off of Burnahm Park.The vessel remains partially submerged, while the two barges that broke free from the tug Monday afternoon have been removed and towed to Calumet Harbor Fleeting. The vessel began taking on water and became partially submerged while trying to retrieve the two barges.

Rolls Royce Sells Energy Gas Turbine Business To Siemens
Britain's Rolls-Royce Plc said it would sell its energy gas turbine and compressor business to German conglomerate Siemens AG for 785 million pounds($1.33 billion). Rolls, whose energy gas turbine and compressor business has around 2,400 employees, said Siemens would pay a further 200 million pounds for a 25 year licensing agreement granting access to relevant Rolls-Royce aero-derivative technology.

Fincantieri to List Stake Close to 50%
Italian state-owned Fincantieri plans to list a stake close to 50 percent in its initial public offering on the Milan bourse, a source close to matter said on Tuesday. The group, wholly owned by state lender Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), which in turn is controlled by Italy's Treasury, announced earlier on Tuesday it has filed for listing. The sale of a minority stake in the group is part of a privatisation push the Italian government launched last year to raise funds to cut its public debt.

A new NOAA National Ocean Service website will provide mariners near real-time coastal ocean surface current observations and tidal current predictions in coastal waters using high frequency (HF) radar, making marine navigation safer for mariners and commercial shippers.
