Carnival Vista Construction Begins

Marine Pollution Control Announces Promotions

Oil Spill Minimally Impacts Port of New Orleans
The U.S. Coast Guard reopened the portion of the Mississippi River, which falls within the Port of New Orleansā jurisdiction today at 10 a.m. The Coast Guard restricted vessel traffic on the Mississippi River Feb. 23 following a vessel collision and oil spill Feb. 22 about 50 miles upriver from the Port of New Orleans. Those restrictions were lifted Monday morning with the condition that vessels certify that their hulls are clean.
Euronav Announces Capital Increase for Maersk VLCCs
Euronav today announced that the meeting of shareholders has approved a $300 million capital increase against issuance of 32,841,528 new shares to acquire 15 Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC) from Maersk Tankers Singapore Pte Ltd. for a total acquisition price of $980 million, as announced January 5, 2014. Euronav said that all other points on the agenda of the shareholdersā meeting were also approved.
Application Filed for First US Floating LNG Export Facility
Excelerate Energy LP said on Monday it has filed a formal application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to build and operate the first U.S. floating liquefied natural gas export facility.
