The Defense Material Organization of the Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN) has contracted Damen Shipyards Group for the delivery of five Harbor and Seagoing tugs. ABS to Class its First Japan-Flagged Vessel
Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessel will be built to ABS class for Offshore Japan Corporation by Japan Marine United Corporation. ABS has been selected by Offshore Japan Corporation (OJC) to class its newly-ordered Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel, the first Japan-flag ship built to ABS class. The vessel, featuring bollard pull of 150 tons and Dynamic Positioning-2 certification, will be built by Japan Marine United Corporation (JMU) for delivery in February 2016.

Under agreement with the U.S. Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation, The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation is proposing to amend the joint Practices and Procedures (known as "regulations" within the SLSDC). Gyro compass error greater than 2 degrees must be serviced prior to transiting the Seaway, if noted during a Seaway transit, it must be reported to the nearest Seaway station and the gyro compass must be serviced at first opportunity.

Scorpio Tankers Inc. inform they have taken delivery of another MR product tanker newbuilding in their ambitious newbuilding programme, 'STI Opera', from Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., Ltd. of South Korea. The owners add that the new vessel will be chartered-out for up to 120 days at approximately US$19,000 per day. Scorpio Tankers Inc.
