Aberdeen Harbor Reports Record Results in 2012
Aberdeen Harbor Boardās annual results have revealed record vessel activity in 2012 and record levels of cargo passing through the port. Overall vessel tonnage handled by the port increased by 8%, from 25.91 million tons in 2011, to 28.19 million tons in 2012. The Harbor also saw an 8% increase in cargo handled, increasing from 4.76 million tons in 2011 to 5.14 million tons in 2012 - another record for the Port.

Havyard Orders MacGregor Cranes
Two MacGregor cranes will feature on a new subsea IMR vessel being built by Havyard in Norway for diverse deepwater operations off the west coast of Africa. In April, MacGregor, part of Cargotec, signed an order with Norwegian shipyard, Havyard Ship Technology AS, for two MacGregor offshore cranes. Both will be installed on a new Havyard 857 subsea inspection maintenance and repair (IMR) vessel being built for Nigerian offshore oil and gas company, Marine Platforms Limited (MPL).
