A group lead by Brookfield Infrastructure Partners, a global asset manager, had reached an agreement to buy the Australian port and railroad operator Asciano for about $8.8 billion in cash and stock, and that it was shopping for ports farther afield in a push to expand, reports NY Times. Kvichak Building 4th Response Boat for NYPD
Kvichak Marine Industries, a Vigor Company, is currently constructing the fourth 44.5-foot Response Boat Medium – C (RB-M C) for the New York Police Department (NYPD) Harbor Unit. The first three vessels were delivered in April 2010, August 2012 and April 2013. The RB-M C’s have been providing maritime security and law enforcement along with search and rescue in the New York metropolitan area. “The RB-M C has proven itself in the most challenging missions,” said Art Parker, Vigor sales manager.

Semi-submersible accommodation vessel owner and operator Prosafe informs that Lundin Norway AS has exercised an option to prolong the provision of semi-submersible accommodation vessel Safe Boreas at the Edvard Grieg Project in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. Container shippers of the G6 Alliance announced four sailings within their Asia-Europe product have been cancelled in response to changes in market demand. Loop 6 service in week 40 (westbound ETA Kaohsiung, October 1, 2015). Kaohsiung will be added as a westbound call, while Jebel Ali will be inserted on the eastbound leg of Loop 7. The westbound Colombo and Xiamen calls will be added into Loop 4. Loop 7 service in week 41 (westbound ETA Qingdao October 5, 2015).
