Eidesvik-Agalas JV to Build New IMR Vessel on Charter with Reach Subsea

Eidesvik Offshore, together with Norwegian shipowner Agalas, has entered into an agreement to build a new construction support vessel (CSV), which is on charter with Reach Subsea.The newbuild will be equipped to perform inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) work for subsea and offshore wind markets.Equipped with methanol engines and a battery hybrid system, the vessel will be owned by an entity to be named Eidesvik Agalas AS, where Eidesvik will be the majority owner with 50.1%.Theā€¦

Eidesvik Extends Contract with DEME for Viking Neptun CSV

Eidesvik Offshore, a Norwegian offshore vessel owner, has signed a ship management contract extension with DEME for construction support vessel (CSV) Viking Neptun.The three-year extension also includes a two-year option for further extension, according to Eidesvik Offshore.The company has provided full technical management, crewing and operation of Viking Neptun since December 2022.In November the same year, Eidesvik Offshore completed the sale of Viking Neptun CSV to DEME.ā€œThis extension is a testament to the exceptional performance of our dedicated crews.

Wintershall Dea Extends Viking Princess Vessel Contract

Oil and gas company Wintershall Dea has declared options to extend the contract for Eidesvik Offshore's supply vessel Viking Princess. Eidesvik Offshore to Sell Three Laid Up Seismic Vessels

Eidesvik Offshore has entered into agreements to sell its three remaining seismic vessels, Veritas Viking, Vantage, and Viking Vision, to two separate buyers. All the vessels are in lay-up and treated as held for sale in the company accounts. Eidesvik Offshore did not say who the buyers were.The company will, at completion of the sales, expected during this summer, recognize a total gain of approximately NOK 63 million (currently around $5,6 million).Gitte Gard Talmo, President & CEO of Eidesvik commented: "We are pleased to announce the sale of these non-strategic assets with a solid gain. Wintershall Dea Charters Eidesvik Offshore's Dual-fuel Supply Vessel

After securing a contract for its Viking Princess supply ship with Wintershall DEA on Thursday, Eidesvik Offshore said Friday it had won a deal for the Viking Queen vessel with the same oil company.The contract for the 2008-built Viking Queen is for 12 months, with options for further extensions. The new contract will start in Q2, 2023.According to the Norwegian vessel owner, the 92.3-meter-long Viking Queen is a dual-fuel platform supply vessel also equipped with a battery hybrid system and a shore power system. ā€œWe are very pleased to secure this contract for Viking Queen and appreciate Wintershall Deaā€™s willingness to commit to solutions that are moreenvironmentally friendly.

Eidesvik Offshore's Supply Vessel Secures Charter Extension with Wintershall Dea

Oil and gas company Wintershall Dea has declared an option to extend the contract for the supply vessel Viking Princess.The 89,6 meters long vessel, owned by Eidesvik Offshore, will start work under the extension from July 2023 in direct continuation of the current contract. With the latest charter extension, the Viking Princess will stay with Wintershall Dea, until January 2024. Financial details of the extension were not disclosed.According to Eidesvik Offshore, the Viking Princess was the worldā€™s first offshore vessel with a battery hybrid solution replacing a traditional generator set.

Eidesvik Offshore Says Revenue, Backlog on the Rise

Norwegian offshore support vessel operator Eidesvik Offshore posted what it said was the second consecutive quarter with a revenue level not seen since 2016.The company's revenue was NOK 190.4 million, an increase of 9% compared to Q3 2021. EBITDA increased by 12% to NOK 91 million vs NOK 81.5 million. The companyā€™s operating result was NOK 262.9 million, up from NOK 1 million in Q3 2021."During the period, Eidesvik increased its backlog substantially through the signing of multiple long-term contract awards with an estimated value of NOK 690 million.

Eidesvik Offshore to Manage DEME's Viking Neptun Construction Vessel

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Eidesvik Offshore will manage the construction support vessel Viking Neptun it recently agreed to sell to DEME.The company has now signed a two-year ship management agreement with DEME under which Eidesvik will provide full technical management, crewing and operation of the vessel.Viking Neptun was built for Eidesvik in 2015.In January 2022, Eidesvik entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (ā€œMoAā€) with DEME to sell the vessel. The MoA is expected to complete in the fourth quarter of 2022ā€¦

Van Oord Books Eidesvik Offshore Vessel for Offshore Wind Trenching Support

Dutch marine services firm Van Oord has, via its offshore wind subsidiary Van Oord Offshore Wind,  awarded Eidesvik Offshore a five-year contract for its Subsea Viking multi-purpose support vessel.The contract, of an undisclosed value, will start in the first quarter of 2023, Norway-based offshore vessel owner Eidesvik Offshore said. Solstad, Siem, Standard Supply Score Offshore Vessel Contracts

Norwegian offshore vessel owners Solstad Offshore, Siem Offshore, and Standard Supply have all secured offshore vessel contracts in the past few days.Solstad Offshore on Monday said it had secured a contract for the platform supply vessel Normand Swan in Australia. Solstad Offshore said the contract was for two years and with "a major energy company."The client will have additional extension options. The contract will start in September 2022. No financial details were shared.The Normand Swan is an 89-meter-long vessel built to Ulstein's PX 105 design back in 2014.

Eidesvik Offshore Bags 3-year Deal for Platform Supply Vessel

Norwegian oil and gas company Aker BP has awarded offshore shipowner Eidesvik Offshore a three-year contract for the platform supply vessel Viking Prince.The contract for the 89,6 meters long Viking Prince will begin after the completion of the vesselā€™s ongoing contract with Equinor. Financial details were not disclosed. The Viking Prince was built in 2012 and has a deck area of around 1 050 m². Norway-based offshore support vessel operator Eidesvik Offshore has appointed Arve Nilsen as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Ellen Sofie Ottesen as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).Nilsen comes from the position of Technical Manager in Eidesvik with responsibility for technology, purchasing, and IT. He has more than 30 years of industry and technology experience and has been with the Company for 13 years.Ottesen comes from the position of Director of Sustainability in Eidesvik.

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Eidesvik Offshore said Wednesday it has been awarded a contract for its 2012-built platform supply vessel (PSV) Viking Prince.The deal with Norwegian energy company Equinor is for a firm six-month period, plus options for further extensions. The contract will commence in April or May of this year.The liquified natural gas (LNG)-fueled Viking Prince was upgraded to battery hybrid system and a shore power system in January 2022.Gitte Gard Talmo, president and CEO of Eidesvik, said, ā€œEquinor and Eidesvik have had a close collaboration for a number of years.

Eidesvik Offshore Nets Bareboat Charter of 'Veritas Viking'

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Eidesvik Offshore said Friday it had won a contract for its Veritas Viking seismic vessel.The deal, with an undisclosed client, is for a bareboat charter for 100 days with options for extensions. The 93,4 meters long vessel was built in 1998."The vessel will be mobilized from its current location at Bømlo and is scheduled to commence the bareboat contract ultimo April 2022," Eidesvik Offshore said.

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Eidesvik Offshore has won a contract with the seismic survey company PXGEO under the master time charter agreement for the Subsea Viking vessel. Ediesvik said that the contract would start "ultimo April 2022," in direct continuation of the existing stand-by contract. DEME to Buy Eidesvik's Viking Neptun Offshore Installation Vessel

Offshore installation company DEME has agreed to acquire Eidesvik's DP3 offshore installation vessel ā€˜Viking Neptunā€™. "Representing a substantial investment, this move highlights DEMEā€™s commitment to its customers, and supports the continued growth of the offshore wind industry. This latest addition to its vessel fleet also confirms DEMEā€™s mission to build future-proof, sustainable and environmentally friendly operations," DEME said.The Viking Neptun currently has a turntable capable of handling 4,500 tonnes of cables below deck.

Equinor Extends Charter for Eidesvik Offshore PSV

Oil and gas company Equinor has declared options to extend the contract for Eidesvik Offshore's supply vessel Viking Queen.The contract extension runs from the end of January 2022 in direct continuation of the current contract.The extension means the 2008-built, LNG-powered platform supply vessel will stay busy with Equinor until the end of May 2022, with options for further extensions.Eidesvik Offshore, based in Bømlo, Norway, did not share the financial details of the contract.

'Major' Oilfield Service Firm Books Solstad Offshore's CSV for South America Work

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Solstad Offshore has won a contract for its construction support vessel Normand Samson.The CSV Normand Samson was chartered by a major oil service firm for a minimum of 350 days, with the possibility to extend for an additional 150 days, according to the company. Solstad did not say who the client was.The contract will start during Q2 2022. "The vessel will be utilized on a field development project in South America," Solstad Offshore said.Built in 2009, the 121,5 meters long Normand Samson can accommodate 100 people aboard.

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Eidesvik Offshore said Thursday its CEO and President Jan Fredrik Meling would as planned, retire from the position at the age of 65 effective December 31, 2021, after more than 16 years in the position.Starting January 1, 2022, the companyā€™s CCO Gitte Gard Talmo will replace Meling who has served as President & CEO since 2005.Arne Austreid, Chairman of the Board said: ā€œThe Board deeply thanks Jan Fredrik Meling for his hard work and many contributions to Eidesvik.

Retrofit: Eidesvik, Aker BP Partner Up to Cut Emissions from Existing OSV Fleet by 'at least' 70%

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Eidesvik and oil and gas firm Aker BP are developing a project which aims to reduce emissions from existing offshore supply vessels.The project called "Retrofit' will evaluate various solutions for converting existing supply vessels to low-emission units and with the goal of reducing emissions by "at least 70 percent."Aker BP has already, together with strategic partners Eidesvik, Solstad Offshore, and Simon Møkster Shipping, decided to install batteries on three offshore supply vessels operating on long-term contracts with the company.

Havfram Books Eidesvik Offshore's Viking Neptun CSV

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Eidesvik Offshore has won a contract with offshore installation firm Havfram for its construction support vessel Viking Neptun. The contract will start in early January 2022 with a firm period towards the end of the third quarter of 2022. Havfram, formerly known as Ocean Installer, will have options for further extension. The Viking Neptun is an offshore construction vessel built for servicing the SURF (Subsea, Umbilical, Riser, and Flowlines) market. The vessel is equipped with hybrid technology to ensure reduced emissions.
