ESPO: One Third of port Professionals are Women

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) said that Cindy D’Aoust, president and CEO, will be step down at the end of the year to focus on family priorities. CCO Thorsten Haeser is leaving the Company as at 31 March 2018 on the most amicable of terms. With great professionalism and personal dedication, he managed and realigned the Executive Board’s sales responsibilities. Following the merger with container liner shipping company United Arab Shipping Company (UASC), Haeser played a key part in the smooth integration of UASC’s business into Hapag-Lloyd AG. Hardy Takes Over as Vitol CEO

Ian Taylor, who helped build Vitol into the world's biggest oil trader, will step down as chief executive and continue as chairman, the company said on Friday, naming a long-time ally and insider, Russell Hardy, as the new group CEO. Taylor said two years ago he was battling cancer although he continued to travel the world, chasing deals from Africa to the United States and Australia while also working as chairman of the board of trustees for London's Royal Opera House. Hardy, who started his career at BP and traded fuel oil, was long seen as one of two front-runners to succeed Taylor alongside another Vitol veteran Chris Bake. Vitol said in a statement that Hardy joined the firm in 1993 and held a number of trading and management roles in Singapore and London.

BAE Systems Names Wolstenholme MD in the UK

Andrew Wolstenholme OBE will join BAE Systems plc from May 24, 2018, in a newly-created role on the Executive Committee as Group Managing Director, Maritime and Land UK.   Wolstenholme will be responsible for BAE Systems’ Maritime and Land UK sectors and will report directly to Chief Executive, Charles Woodburn.   Wolstenholme joins BAE Systems from Crossrail Ltd., where he led Europe's largest infrastructure project for the last seven years. Tidewater Inc. (NYSE: TDW) appointed John T. Rynd as the company's new President and CEO and a member of the Board of Directors effective March 5. He replaces Larry T. Rigdon who has served as interim President and Chief Executive Officer since October of 2017. What does the future hold for infrastructure investment on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway in 2018? The Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway Association (AIWA) is a nonprofit, membership organization for one of the nation’s longest water infrastructure projects stretching over 1,100 miles: the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AIWW). We are grateful to serve as the one unified Voice of the Waterway and below is our outlook for 2018. In the President’s Budget for 2017, the AIWW began the appropriations process with only $6.911 million for the entire waterway.
