Qatar Inks Deal with Fincantieri

Flex LNG Tallies Contract Extension

Flex LNG on Wednesday said it secured an extension of the time-charter agreement for its 173,400-cubic-meter-capacity liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier Flex Enterprise.The extension stretches the firm period of the time charter into first quarter 2021, and the charterer also has extension options, Flex LNG said. Tomini Adds 3 New Ultramaxes to its Fleet

Dubai-based ship owner and operator Tomini Shipping has boosted its shipping fleet with the delivery and naming of three ultramax carriers.Three vessels named Tomini Entity (63,500 DWT), Tomini Felicity (63,300 DWT) and Tomini Tenacity (63,601 DWT) were delivered on 7 January 2020.According to the company statement, the naming ceremony was held at the COSCO Shipping Ltd, Hudong Shipyard, Shanghai, China. The Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) has ordered two more fire-fighting vessels following the delivery of modern fireboat, the "Branddirektor Westphal".As with the previous order, both vessels will be fitted with Schottel thrusters – in this case, two Schottel Rudderpropellers and one Schottel Transverse Thruster. These will enable maximum maneuverability in the restricted fairway of the Port of Hamburg.This mobility is also guaranteed in situations that require fast response times.

The Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) has chosen SCHOTTEL for two more fire-fighting vessels. Each of the fireboats features two rudderpropellers type SRP 150 L FP (380 kW each) with a propeller diameter of 1.10 m and a transverse thruster type STT 60 FP (100 kW). Each of these is driven by an electric motor. The rudderpropellers type SRP 150 are equipped with SCHOTTEL’s new highly efficient SDC40 nozzle. Nakilat Posts 10.5% Surge in 9 Month's Net Profit

Intellian signed a strategic partnership  with Hyundai Global Service (HGS), a subsidiary of the shipbuilding company Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) group, on July 15 at Centum Science Park in Busan, Korea.As the first step of the cooperation, both companies will expand HGS’ innovative ‘Integrated Smart Ship (ISS)’ solution; a digital ecosystem for vessel and fleet management, incorporating a  data analysis platform.
