Höegh Evi and Aker BP have secured an Approval in Principle (AiP) from DNV for a next-generation liquefied CO2 (LCO2) carrier.The vessel, developed in Norway by Höegh Evi, Aker BP and Moss Maritime, is designed to transport captured CO2 safely and cost-efficiently from European industrial emitters to offshore sequestration sites on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).DNV’s Approval in Principle includes a comprehensive assessment of the vessel’s design, including its onboard CO2 conditioning module.

Yinson Bags $5.3B Deal for its First FPSO Project in Angola

Malaysian company Yinson has secured a firm contract to provide and maintain an FPSO for Azule Energy, a BP-Eni joint venture, in Angola.The contract, awarded by Eni Angola, is for the provision of the FPSO for the  Agogo Integrated West Hub Development Project in Angola (“FPSO Agogo”).According to Yinson, the contract is worth about $5.3 billion in total and has a firm period of 15 years from the date of the final FPSO's acceptance. Azule Energy will have the option to extend for another five years. The FPSO Agogo is expected to start operations in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Atlantic, Gulf & Pacific International Holdings (AG&P) said Sunday that it had converted the 137,512 cubic meter LNG carrier called ISH into a Floating Storage  Unit (FSU), which will be a part of an LNG import terminal in the Philippines from 2023."The ISH is a central component of the first Philippines LNG Import Terminal (PHLNG). Ready to be docked at AG&P's PHLNG facility in Batangas, the FSU is part of the combined offshore-onshore  import terminal that will have an initial capacity of 5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).
