Golar LNG to Appoint Sir Frank Chapman as Chairman
Rolls-Royce Holdings plc reports that Golar LNG Limited has announced its intention to propose the appointment of Sir Frank Chapman as its Chairman, conditional upon the closing of the Secondary Offering recently announced by Golar LNG Limited. Sir Frank Chapman is a non-executive director, and chair of the safety and ethics committees, of Rolls-Royce Holdings plc. This disclosure is made pursuant to paragraph 9.6.14 (2) of the Listing Rules.

Kalmar to Deliver 7 RTGs to Puerto Central, in Chile
Kalmar, part of Cargotec, will deliver seven E-One2 rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTGs) to Puerto Central S.A (PCE) in San Antonio, Chile. The RTG project has a total value of USD 14 million, including the cranes, spare parts, training for operators and technicians as wells as civil works and other auxiliary equipment required to automate certain RTG processes. The order was booked in June 2014 with a delivery and start-up date in July 2015.

The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) has signed a contract to buy a Supramax Bulk Carrier of about 52,454 dwt. The 2006 built vessel is expected to join the Company’s fleet in September-October 2014. The Company’s current fleet stands at 30 vessels, comprising 22 tankers (8 crude carriers, 12 product tankers, 2 LPG carriers) and 8 dry bulk carriers (1 Capesize, 3 Kamsarmax, 4 Supramax) with an average age of 10 years aggregating 2.42 mn dwt.

Holland America Line’s 2 vessels Hit Perfect Scores
Holland America Line’s ms Statendam and ms Westerdam achieved perfect scores of 100 on recent routine United States Public Health inspections conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The unannounced inspection for ms Statendam was held June 17, 2014, during a call at Ketchikan, Alaska. Westerdam was inspected July 21 during a call at Juneau, Alaska. Both ships were in the middle of sailing seven-day Alaska cruises.
USCG, Good Samaritan Rescue Boater on S. Lake Michigan
The Coast Guard and a good Samaritan found and rescued a man Saturday morning, who had been missing since Friday afternoon on lower Lake Michigan. The Coast Guard is not releasing the man’s name and there is no imagery of video available. At 6:25 p.m., Friday, a watchstander at Coast Guard Station Calumet Harbor in Chicago received notification from a woman reporting her husband missing in Lake Michigan.

UN to Set Up Ebola Crisis Center
The United Nations will soon set up an Ebola crisis center to coordinate the response to the deadly virus and to strive to halt its spread in West African countries within six to nine months, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced on Friday. "The goal is to stop Ebola transmission in affected countries within six to nine months, and to prevent the international spread of the virus," Ban said.
