Meercat Workboats’ Move to New Premises

Meercat Workboats yesterday moved from Portchester to new, purpose built premises in Hythe Marine Park, Southampton, UK. To coincide with the move the company’s management team has been restructured, two new vessels have been delivered and one new order confirmed. The new site is 1,600 sqm, has two 20-tonne gantry cranes, a machine shop, an electrical workshop, a hydraulic workshop, aluminum welding bays, steel fabrication bays, dedicated stores, offices and customer parking.

AAL, one of the world’s leading breakbulk, project cargo and heavy lift shipping operators, has been awarded the prize for ‘Excellence in Project Cargo, Breakbulk / Heavy Lift’ at the 21st Annual Australian Shipping & Maritime Industry Awards. ICC, DRD Team Up to Shed Light on Arbitration

The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has announced it has entered into a cooperation agreement with Dispute Resolution Data (DRD) – a research service for international commercial arbitration and mediation. Under the terms of the agreement, the ICC International Court of Arbitration will provide data that will ultimately contribute to a greater understanding of dispute resolution use and practice worldwide.
Navy to Christen Submarine Colorado

The Navy will christen its newest Virginia-class fast attack submarine, the future USS Colorado (SSN 788), during an 11 a.m. EDT ceremony Saturday, Dec. 3 at General Dynamics Electric Boat Shipyard in Groton, Connecticut.
