New Design for 17 Meter Blyth Workcat
UK boat builder Blyth Workcats has extended its model range with a new design for the recently launched 17-mworkboat. By relocating the wheel house onto a second upper deck, the company is expecting that the 17-mHigh Bridge will be recognized as a practical and economical option for wind farm support vessel operators. The first 17-mboat from Blyth Workcats was launched in May and since then it has been praised by its owners Wildcat Marine for its practical design and economical running costs.

CCGS Vladykov – First of Three New Canadian Near-Shore Research Vessels
The CCGS Vladykov is the first of three new Near-Shore Fisheries Research Vessels to be delivered to the Canadian Coast Guard. Commissioned in August 2012, the vessel was constructed at Meridien Maritime Inc. in Matane, Quebec to a design developed by Robert Allan Ltd of Vancouver, B.C. The CCGS Vladykov and its sister vessels will conduct scientific research in the Newfoundland and Labrador region.

Aberdeen Harbor has welcomed the largest ever vessel to the port after the completion of a £5.2 million program to improve access and deepen the Navigation Channel. The improvements – designed to open the harbor to larger vessels and new markets – were completed five weeks ahead of schedule. The two recent visits of the diving support vessel, Skandi Arctic, were perfect demonstrations that the harbor has entered a new era.
