Port of Aberdeen's Shore Power Project to Dramatically Cut Vessel Emissions

Port of Aberdeen said Thursday it had been awarded funding from the UK Government for a multi-million-pound project to design and deliver the first large-scale landside and vessel-side shore power system in Scotland."The demonstrator project will cut vessel emissions at the berths by more than 80% compared with burning marine fuel and save in excess of 60,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent over the next 20 years," Port of Aberdeen said.Crucially, the port said, ‘Shore Power in Operation’ will pave the way for the roll-out of green shore power across North Harbour.

DOF Awarded Subsea Work off West Africa

Norway-based DOF Group on Monday announced it has been awarded a contract for one of its vessels offshore West Africa.The deal will see DOF's construction support vessel (CSV) Skandi Acergy support operations to install subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) for an unnamed "tier 1 contractor and operator" in West Africa, DOF said. The 156.9-meter-long vessel was built in 2008.DOF labeled the contract as "significant", worth between $80 million and $100 million. TechnipFMC, DOF-owned Vessel Catches Fire in Brazil

Skandi Buzios, a pipelay support vessel owned by TechnipFMC and DOF, caught fire Friday morning in a Brazilian port.The Brazilian media and some social media accounts on Friday showed images and videos of the burning vessel with thick smoke billowing above it and firefighters trying to quell the fire.The incident happened at Porto do Açu, in São João da Barra, in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, and no injuries have been reported.Offshore Engineer has reached out to TechnipFMC seeking more info. "On Friday morning, June 2, a fire occurred onboard Skandi Buzios while the vessel was alongside Porto do Açu in Brazil. All personnel are safe, and no serious injuries were sustained. DOF Subsea's Flagship Vessel Wins More Work

DOF Charters Havila Phoenix CSV. Wins Contracts in Atlantic Region

Offshore vessel operator DOF Group is pleased to announce multiple new contracts in the Atlantic region and the long-term charter of the construction support vessel Havila Phoenix.In the Atlantic region, DOF said it had secured an Integrated Field Support Vessel (FSV) contract with an international operator in West-Africa. The contract is for 365 days firm, with 365 days of options. DOF said it would deliver project management, engineering, procurement and logistics within deep-water construction and maintenance of existing subsea infrastructure. The company will use the Skandi Seven vessel for the project.Also in the Atlantic region, the company said it had secured multiple FEED studies towards prospective floating wind developments in the Atlantic region.

Petrobras Awards $70M Deal to DOF's Brazilian Subsidiaries

Brazilian oil company Petrobras has awarded service contracts to DOF's Brazilian subsidiaries to Norskan Offshore Ltda. and DOF Subsea Serviços Brasil Ltda.The contracts are for the Skandi Iguazu AHTS vessel including ROV. The contracts will start in the fourth quarter of 2022 and will have a duration of three years. Petrobras will have options to extend the contracts for two more years. The total contract value for the firm period is about 70 million.

DOF Wins $260M in AHTS, ROV Deals with Petrobras in Brazil

Oslo-listed offshore vessel operator DOF has, through its Brazilian subsidiaries, won new long-term charter and service contracts with Petrobras for four AHTS vessels and ROVs. The vessels, Skandi Angra, Skandi Paraty, Skandi Urca, and Skandi Fluminense, (AHTS 18000 class), currently operating for Petrobras and equipped with DOF Subsea's work class ROVs, have been contracted for 3 years firm + 2 years options with Petrobras. The gross value of the contracts is around $260 million and with a planned start-up in the fourth quarter of 2022. The contracts have been awarded to DOF's subsidiaries Norskan Offshore Ltda. and DOF Subsea Serviços Brasil Ltda.

Contract Extension for DOF's 'Skandi Africa'

Norwegian subsea services DOF Subsea has won a contract extension for its Skandi Africa subsea construction vessel.The new commitment will now run until February 2024 and will start in direct continuation with the current contract. DOF Subsea did not say who the client was. Skandi Africa is designed for harsh environment and deepwater subsea construction and flexlay operations. Oslo-listed Subsea services company DOF Subsea has entered into an agreement with Otto Candies for the charter of the Jones Act compliant vessel Chloe Candies for a firm period of two years. The deal follows on from the charter of the Ross Candies, DOF Subsea, a subsidiary of DOF ASA, said."The charter period commenced in May, with the intent to utilize the vessel to support operations for existing North American clients in the GOM," DOF Subsea added. DOF Subsea Bags Three-year MPSV Charter with Exxon in Australia

ExxonMobil has awarded a long-term contract to offshore vessel owner DOF Subsea for the provisions of multi-purpose supply vessel services in Australia.The contract is for three years firm plus two one-year extension options. Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF Subsea has sold its 2001-built construction support vessel Skandi Neptune.According to DOF Subsea, the vessel has been sold to an unnamed "international buyer."The vessel will be delivered to the new owner in Q3 2022, after completing its current commitments, DOF Subsea said Monday, without sharing further details. Norwegian offshore vessel operator DOF Subsea has won more work in Brazil with Petrobras.After a recent three-year contract secured for a pipelay support vessel duo co-owned with TechnipFMC, DOF Subsea said Thursday it had secured a contract extension with Petrobras for the diving support vessel Skandi Achiever.The extension will see the Skandi Achiever stay with Petrobras until the fourth quarter of 2022, providing ROV and diving services until the fourth quarter of 2022. Oilfield services giant TechnipFMC has shed more light on vessel contracts it recently secured with Petrobras in Brazil in cooperation with the Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF.DOF last week said it had, in JV with TechnipFMC, secured three-year contracts for two pipelay support vessels Skandi Vitória and Skandi Niteroi, without sharing further details on the scope of work awarded nor on the value.TechnipFMC on Tuesday issued a separate statement in which it said the contracts were "significant" which for TechnipFMC means as having a value between $75 million and $250 million.The Brazilian-built and flagged vessels are owned by DOFCON Navegação Ltda, a 50/50 JV between TechnipFMC and DOF Subsea.

Petrobras Awards 3-year Deals for DOF/TechnipFMC PLSV Duo

Brazilian oil company Petrobras has contracted awarded contracts for two pipelay support vessels owned by DOF and TechnipFMC.Oslo-listed DOF Subsea said Tuesday that the contracts, for three years each, are for the vessels Skandi Vitória and Skandi Niteroi, secured via JV partner TechnipFMC and via Norskan Offshore, respectively.Both vessels are Brazilian-built and flagged and owned by DOFCON Navegação Ltda., a joint venture between DOF Subsea (50%) and TechnipFMC (50%).Operations will start in February 2022 at the latest.
