FPSO Vessel Revenue to Reach $8.30Bln by 2026

The global floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel market is expected to grow at a robust rate of 11.80% during the forecast period 2016 to 2026. Additionally, the revenue in the global FPSO vessel market is projected to reach up to US$8.30bn by the end of 2026.Growing demand for alternative sources of oil due to continual depletion of existing oil reserves drives the global FPSO vessel market, said a report by Transparency Market Research Market (TMR).On the basis of geography, Latin America held a large share until 2016.

U.S. Drillers Cut Rigs Again: Baker Hughes

Canadian oil and gas company High Arctic Energy Services said that  the Government of Papua New Guinea (PNG) has validated the Papua LNG Gas Agreement.According to a statement, the announced validation by the Petroleum Minister includes new good faith concessions offered by the operator for the Papua LNG joint venture. Bumi Armada Sells FPSO for $40 Mln

Malaysian oilfield services company Bumi Armada Bhd has found a buyer for its floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel Armada Perdana in Nigerian company Century Energy Services (CESL) for RM167.17 million ($40 million).Kuala Lumpur-based floater player said in a Bursa Malaysia filing that its subsidiary, Armada Oyo Limited (AOL), had entered into an agreement with CES) for the sale of the Armada Perdana.CESL plans to redeploy the vessel to another field in Nigeria, said the statement.CESL has already paid $4.5 million out of a $5.5 million deposit to AOL, with the outstanding amount to be satisfied before the end of the year.Additional vessel expenses incurred from August 1 until the delivery date of the FPSO will be offset against the purchase price.Then…

Engie Crosses 1.5 GW Renewable Capacity in India

French power group Engie’s total renewable capacity in India now exceeds 1.5 GW. C&J Energy, Keane Merge in $1.8bln Deal

Oilfield services firms C&J Energy Services and Keane Group, said  that they will merge in an all-stock deal valued at about $1.8 billion.C&J Energy, which offers a suite of oil and gas production services, and Keane, which specializes in well completions would combine in what the companies described as a merger of equals. The deal would create a company with more than $4 billion in annual revenues.Under the terms of the merger agreement, which has been unanimously approved by the Boards of Directors of both companies and the Special Committee of the Keane Board, C&J shareholders will receive 1.6149 shares of Keane common stock for each share of C&J common stock owned. The merger agreement permits C&J to pay its shareholders a cash dividend of $1.00 per share prior to closing.

Wärtsilä to Equip Knutsen LNG Carrier

Wärtsilä said it will provide an integrated propulsion and cargo handling solution for a new 30,000-cubic-meter liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier being built at the Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) in South Korea on behalf of Norway based Knutsen OAS Shipping.Under a 12-year long term charter, the vessel, expected to be delivered during the first half of 2021, will be operated by Knutsen and chartered to Edison S.p.A, an Italian energy services provider. Drydocks World Completes FPSO Upgrade, Turret Mooring Project
