AkzoNobel’s marine coatings brand, International, has launched Intergard 6788, a new aluminum-pigmented universal primer developed to meet the demands of the global newbuilding market. The launch in Asia will take place at the Asia Pacific Maritime conference in Singapore, with availability in China and Vietnam as key markets.Epoxy technology enables a higher solids content for the product, proactively meeting increasingly stringent global Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) regulations.

DHT Takes Delivery of New VLCC

DHT Holdings has taken delivery of the second VLCC newbuilding from Hanwha Ocean.The vessel is named DHT Addax and is entering the spot market.It is the second in a series of four VLCC newbuildings to be delivered to the company during the first half of 2026.The newbuildings are fully funded and will increase the company’s customer offerings and earnings power.The next newbuilding is scheduled for delivery in late March 2026.

New PaxOcean Shipyard Opened in Singapore

PaxOcean, a part of Kuok Maritime Group (KMG), has opened a new S$200 million shipyard at 5 Jalan Samulun (5JS).The shipyard, situated in the Jurong Industrial Estate, spans 17.26 hectares and features two large graving docks, one floating dock, expanded quayside capacity, and dedicated, integrated workshops to support complex and high-value maritime and offshore assets.
