WSS Expands US Ports Services with Jo Tankers
A new contract to supply ships services to one of the world’s largest chemical transportation fleets, Jo Tankers, has strengthened Wilhelmsen Ships Service’s port coverage for the customer in the USA.
The Dordrecht Fleet Continues Growth
The Dutch town of Dordrecht was granted city rights in 1220 as its importance as a trading port continued to grow. Goods from the Dutch empire were transferred to river vessels here and the city grew wealthy. Later, much of the deep-sea trade moved to the nearby port of Rotterdam which resulted in heavy bombing during World War II with the destruction of many historical buildings. Spared such destruction, Dordrecht continues to have many fine buildings dating from the prosperous centuries.

Wärtsilä Appoints Rosengren President and CEO
Wärtsilä's Board of Directors has appointed Mr Björn Rosengren M.Sc. (Tech.), born 1959, as the new President and CEO of Wärtsilä Corporation. He will assume the position on 1 September 2011, succeeding Mr Ole Johansson, who will retire. Currently Mr Rosengren works as Senior Executive Vice President Atlas Copco AB and as Business Area President for Atlas Copco Construction and Mining Technique, and is based in Shanghai, China.
Capt. Habib Appointed Titan VP
Rich Habib has been appointed vice president of Titan Salvage with responsibility for the company's overall performance, including operations, administration, finance and commercial activities. He is domiciled at Titan's headquarters in Pompano Beach, Fla., and reports to Todd Busch, Crowley Maritime Corporation's senior vice president and general manager of technical services.
