USCG Responds to Pollution from Sunken Vessel
Coast Guard, National Response Center and Washington State Department of Ecology personnel responded to oil pollution from a sunken 67-foot commercial vessel at Westhaven Marina near Grays Harbor, Wash., Sunday. Responders from the Coast Guard Incident Management Division in Astoria will arrive on scene Monday morning and will be working with partner agencies to monitor the situation and oversee the cleanup.
Transocean's Henry Goodrich gets Two-years Deal
Transocean Ltd. announced today that the harsh-environment semisubmersible Henry Goodrich was awarded a two year contract with Husky Oil Operations Limited offshore Canada at a dayrate of $275,000. The estimated contract backlog excluding mobilization is $200 million. The rig is expected to commence operations in the second quarter of 2016. As of December 6, 2015, the company's contract backlog is approximately $16.8 billion.
Pilbara Port Volume Up 7%
Pilbara Ports Authority (PPA) has delivered a total monthly throughput of 52.6 million tonnes (Mt) for the month of November. This is an increase of 7% from the same month in 2014. The Port of Port Hedland achieved a monthly throughput of 37.9 Mt, an increase of 9% from the same month in 2014. Iron ore exports for the month totalled 37.3Mt, an increase of 8% from the same month in 2014. Imports totalled 130,000 tonnes, a decrease of 81,000 tonnes or 38% from the previous year.

Maersk Guardian Acquires 5-year Accommodation Deal
Maersk Drilling has been awarded a contract with Maersk Oil for the jack-up rig Maersk Guardian for accommodation on various fields in the Danish part of the North Sea. The firm contract duration is 5 years with commencement in September 2016. The contract includes two 1-year options. IMO Urges Fishing Vessel Treaty Acceptance
The Assembly of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has called on its Member States to accept a 2012 international fishing vessel safety agreement, in order to bring it into force and address the heavy casualty rate in the sector. The IMO Assembly was meeting for its 29th session at IMO Headquarters in London, United Kingdom (23 November to 2 December). The Assembly also adopted a resolution commending the role of merchant shipping in rescuing mixed migrants at sea.

Containers Overboard off Florida
Multiple containers have fallen into the sea from a barge off the coast between Port Canaveral, Fla., and West Palm Beach, Fla., Sunday. U.S. The U.S. flagged 136-foot Capt Latham was transiting to Puerto Rico as it tugged a 340-foot barge, Columbia Elizabeth, when crew aboard noticed several cargo containers hanging over the port side of the barge and believed more had fallen into the water while in transit, the Coast Guard said.

John W. Stone Oil Distributor, LLC is taking delivery of its first “green” inland midstream refueling barge from Tres Palacios Marine in Palacios, Texas.
