Equinor ASA (OSE: EQNR, NYSE: STO), the new name of Statoil ASA, was approved by the annual general meeting yesterday, May 15, 2018, and the new name has now been registered in the Norwegian register of business enterprises (Foretaksregisteret). Maersk Tanker Unit to Wind Down Customer Agreements in Iran

Baltic Index Drops
The Baltic Exchange's main sea freight index, tracking rates for ships carrying dry bulk commodities, fell on Wednesday, hurt by weak demand for capesize vessels. The overall index, which factors in rates for capesize, panamax and supramax shipping vessels, was down 65 points, or 4.4 percent, at 1,403 points, registering its highest percentage fall since Jan. 17. The capesize index lost 195 points, or 7.5 percent, at 2,407 points.
Workboats: Three Damen Stan Tugs for Corpetrolsa Group
Damen Shipyards Group signed a contract with Corpetrolsa Group of Guayaquil, Ecuador, for the supply of three tugs; one Stan Tug 1205 and two Stan Tugs 1606. The tugs will be operated by Corpetrolsa subsidiary DLEN S.A. to support its bunkering operation. Corpetrolsa Group operates its own fleet of tankers in the 2,000 to 7,000 DWT range and the three new tugs will be used to assist them in the Ecuadorean ports of Esmeraldas and La Libertad.
