Fisherman Rescued from Capsizing Vessel [Video]
A U.S. Coast Guard aircrew from Air Facility Newport rescued a man from a capsized boat about a mile west of Devil’s Punchbowl State Park, Monday morning. The aircrew safely hoisted the man aboard the MH-65 Dolphin helicopter and transported him to the Air Facility in good condition. A video is available here. “He was wearing his lifejacket when the boat capsized and that allowed him to stay above the surface and then climb onto the boat,” said Lt. j.g. Dustin Brecher, Dolphin helicopter pilot.

Damen Ships Modular Dredger to the Andes
Reservoirs are notoriously tricky to maintain: from the surrounding area plenty of sand and silt is brought in by the river and the material deposits at the dam. As reservoirs are usually rather deep, dredging can be quite a challenge. For the Tablachaca dam in Peru another challenge was added; the location high up in the Andes required a modular dredger due to transport restrictions. The DOP Dredger proved to be the perfect solution, according to its builder.

Kelvin Hughes is to supply its SharpEye S-band radar together with its new 12kW radar for 17 patrol boats currently being built at ARES Shipyard, Turkey for Qatar’s Coast and Borders Security Department. All the electronic equipment for the vessels - which include 24m, 34.5m and 48m versions of the ARES Shipyard Hercules series - will be supplied by Elektro Deniz of Turkey which has contracted Kelvin Hughes to provide the radar systems.
