Aegean Secures Hess' US East Coast Bunkering Business
Aegean Marine Petroleum Network Inc. says it has completed the previously announced acquisition of the U.S. East Coast bunkering business of Hess Corporation. The transaction, which includes bunkering operations that averaged 1.8 million metric tons in annual sales over the past three years, is valued at $30 million plus the value of the purchased inventory and also includes approximately 250,000 cubic meters of leased tank storage.

The last oceangoing vessel to call on the Port of Duluth-Superior for the 2013 shipping season is expected to depart later today (ETD 4:00 PM). The Orsula arrived Sunday to load a total of nearly 22,000 metric tons (24,250 short tons) of durum wheat at the CHS and Gavilon grain terminals in Superior.
