Bollinger Delivers USCGC Benjamin Dailey
Bollinger Shipyards said it has delivered the USCGC Benjamin Dailey, the 23rd Fast Response Cutter (FRC) to the U.S. Coast Guard. The Coast Guard took delivery of the 154-foot patrol craft on April 20, 2017 in Key West, Fla. The vessel’s commissioning is scheduled for July 4, 2017 in Pascagoula, Miss. The 23rd vessel in the Coast Guard's Sentinel-class FRC program, USCGC Benjamin Dailey will be the first FRC to be stationed in the 8th Coast Guard District in Pascagoula, Miss.

The U.S. Coast Guard Academy will host President Donald J. Trump, who is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at graduation on Wednesday May 17. "Every commencement is a special occasion, but it is particularly memorable when the President presents our future leaders with their commissions,” said Academy Superintendent Rear Adm. James E. BW Group Delivers First VLCC TO DHT
DHT Holdings, Inc. said it has taken delivery of the DHT Utik, the first of 11 very large crude carriers (VLCC) acquired from BW Group Limited in exchange for DHT's shares. The delivery was made despite a last-minute effort by rival oil tanker firm Frontline to prevent the deal that will bring BW's ownership in DHT to 33.5 percent, surpassing Frontline as DHT's top shareholder. Frontline’s lawsuit was rejected in New York County Supreme Court.

A U.S. court has rejected a last-minute effort by billionaire investor John Fredriksen's Frontline to prevent BW Group from acquiring a major stake in rival oil tanker firm DHT Holdings, DHT said on Thursday. Hull Cleaning Robot Deployed in Rotterdam
Recently the hull of the vessel Vlieborg from Wagenborg has been cleaned in the Port of Rotterdam by Fleet Cleaner and OH Ship Cleaning. The vessel was heavily fouled with slime and algae, which were all removed from the hull and captured by the installation. The collected wastewater was carefully filtered in order to comply with environmental regulations. Since the Vlieborg was not loaded during the cleaning, a large portion of the fouled hull had to be cleaned above water.
