GL Shares Ship Management Study Results
Germanischer Lloyd (GL) will introduce the results of a joint global study on 'Best Practice in Ship Management', conducted with the Fraunhofer Center for Maritime Logistics and Services (CML), to the Hong Kong Shipping community on August 7. This will be the first in a series of events where GL and Fraunhofer will share with maritime stakeholders insights into what shipping companies across the globe consider best practice in their industry.

Jaya Holdings Limited say that the new PSV was delivered on schedule and on delivery went on-hire immediately, embarking on its maiden voyage as part of a long term charter contract in South East Asia with an existing customer undertaking fracturing work. Jaya Valour is one of the four PSVs in Jaya’s new build program, of which three have already secured contracts for charter. Well owners, Walter’s, application for permit to drill a relief well was approved Saturday by BSEE. The Rowan EXL-3 jack-up rig, contracted by Walter, is on location at South Timbalier 220 and crews are completing rig

Interior Officials Convene Safety Meeting
Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) Director James Watson and Acting Assistant Secretary for Lands and Minerals Management Tommy Beaudreau convened a meeting today in Houston, Texas, with senior executives from the offshore oil and gas industry to continue the dialogue on improving safety in offshore operations, particularly in shallow water in the Gulf of Mexico.
