Stolt-Nielsen, NYK Line Form JV in Avenir LNG

Delfin Midstream has extended a letter of award with Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) and placed orders for critical liquefaction equipment, as the company moves toward a final investment decision on the first floating LNG vessel for its Delfin LNG project.The U.S.-based developer said the extension of the letter of award with SHI follows early engagement work carried out in recent weeks and comes as the remaining workstreams required to reach FID are nearing completion. A new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, Elisa Halcyon, ordered by France LNG Shipping SAS from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in Korea, was completed and delivered on October 31. The vessel will be chartered on a long-term basis (up to 20 years) to EDF LNG Shipping SAS for LNG transportation under the ship management of Gazocean.Elisa Halcyon is equipped with a WinGD-manufactured dual-fuel slow-speed diesel engine capable of operating on fuel oil and boil-off gas (natural gas vaporized during transport).

"American Energy" LNG Vessel Celebrated in Puerto Rico

Crowley, alongside Puerto Rico Governor Jenniffer González-Colón, celebrated the LNG carrier American Energy during an event Wednesday, June 18 at Crowley’s LNG Loading Terminal in Peñuelas. American Energy is the first U.S.-flagged liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier to deliver U.S.-sourced LNG to Puerto Rico.The Crowley-owned, 900-foot-long (274 meters) vessel began service in March 2025. At full capacity, American Energy is capable of transporting up to 34.4 million gallons (130,400 cubic meters) of  LNG per voyage.

TMC Books Compressors Orders for FPSO and LNG Vessels

TMC Compressors (TMC) has secured orders for complete marine compressed air systems for 12 liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessel newbuilds and one floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit.As part of the first order, Hanwha Ocean picked TMC to deliver the marine compressed air system to 12 LNG vessels the South Korean shipbuilder is constructing for an undisclosed LNG shipping major.Under the contract, TMC will supply a complete system consisting of control and service air compressors, to each of the 12 vessels.

SHI taps GTT for Tank Design of a new LNG Vessel

GTT received an order from Korean shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries for the tank design of a new LNG carrier. The vessel is owned by France LNG Shipping, a joint venture between NYK and Geogas LNG, and under a long-term charter contract with EDF LNG Shipping. Loadings Picking up at Russia's Arctic LNG 2

The fifth cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia's Arctic LNG 2 has been picked up by a vessel managed by a company under U.S. sanctions, according to ship tracking data.The Arctic LNG 2 project by Russia's Novatek is also subject to Western sanctions over Russia's war with Ukraine. Venture Global Launches First LNG Vessel from Planned Nine-Strong Fleet

U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporter Venture Global has launched its first LNG vessel, the Venture Gator, at the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in Geoji-si, South Korea.The Venture Gator is the first of nine LNG carriers in the Venture Global fleet to be completed in quick succession across three shipyards in South Korea over the coming 24 months, which will transport LNG from the U.S. to multiple global partners and destinations.The ship is said to deploy best-in-class environmental and efficiency technology and will be primarily fueled by Venture Global’s LNG.
