Chinese Tanker Spurns Malaysian Inspections

Bahri Looks to Make LNG Foray

Saudi Aramco's shipping arm Bahri has issued an expression of interest (EOI) to charter up to 12 liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers from 2025, its first foray into the superchilled fuel, industry sources said on Monday.No further details were immediately available and Saudi Aramco declined to comment. Wilson Buys Two Bulkers

Wilson Ship Management, a short sea company working hand in hand with major players within the Norwegian and European industry, has signed an agreement to purchase the two bulk carriers MV Lauren C (2007) and MV Nicole C (2008), both of 5,000 dwt.The vessels are expected to be acquired during the first quarter of 2020. Upon acquisition, both vessels will be given Wilson names. The purchase is financed through equity and deductions from the company's loan facility in the bank.The acquisition of MV Lauren C and MV Nicole C marks the growth of today's fleet with two vessels.

Flex LNG Swings to Profit, Adds to Fleet

Norwegian LNG carrier owner Flex LNG posted a net income of USD 0.5 million for the third quarter of this year, compared to a net loss of $3.9 million for the second quarter 2019.It  reported revenues of $29.8 million for the third quarter 2019, compared to $19.0 million for the second quarter 2019.Øystein M Kalleklev, CEO of Flex LNG Management AS, said: “In line with our expectations, the freight market has become increasingly tighter in the second half of 2019 resulting in much more favorable market conditions despite low gas prices.

K Line, FueLNG Team-up on LNG Bunker

Japanese shipping firm Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) has announced that it has concluded a ship management agreement with FueLNG Pte Ltd for a 7500 m3 LNG bunkering vessel (LBV).FueLNG will own and operate the vessel, as well as carry out all commercial operations, said K Line press statement.The partnership will combine K Line’s extensive ship management and LNG transportation experience with FueLNG’s LNG bunkering expertise, which includes more than 160 truck-to-ship LNG bunkering operations conducted to-date.

Nakilat Posts 10.5% Surge in 9 Month's Net Profit
