CrewInspector.com Partners with Seawhale

Online crew management software provider CrewInspector.com signed an agreement to supply Russian crew manning agency Seawhale Co Ltd with its proprietary crew management system. The contract includes full replacement of manual tools for crew management previously used by Seawhale Co with online platform developed by CrewInspector Ltd, integration of crew managers and agents based in Arkhangelsk, Petrozavodsk, Saint-Petersburg and Vladivostok in Russia and Odessa in Ukraine. CrewInspector.com will also provide ongoing IT development and system maintenance to ensure highest standards of effective and secure crew management are met, followed by implementation of custom requirements anticipated by Seawhale Co Ltd.

New Crewing Software for HAV Ship Management

CrewInspector.com an online crew management software provider wins the contract to provide HAV Ship Management Kaliningrad with full crew management solution. CrewInspector will provide online crew management database, integrated online application for seafarers and crew payroll software. Crew management system enables crew managers to create seafarer employment contracts, monitor certificate expiry and organize crew planning across the whole fleet thus reducing manual work. Based on crew employment contracts, payrolling module helps calculating crew wages and respective deductions. HAV Ship Management Kaliningrad will use CrewInspector to manage crew for 26 dry-cargo ships classified by Germanischer Lloyd which under management of the company. The ships carry bulk and general cargoes.

CrewInspector Partners with Latvian Maritime Academy

CrewInspector signs a partnership agreement with Latvian Maritime Academy to provide lectures and training courses in crewing and crew management. Theoretical knowledge and practical tasks with crew management software enable students studying ports and shipping management bachelor program to understand the process of crew management from different angles. Videotel’s API Enables Integration with Crew Management Software

Videotel, a global provider of e-Learning maritime training solutions and a company of KVH Industries, Inc.,  has released the Videotel Partner API, an application programming interface that facilitates the exchange of data between Videotel and any of its clients’ crew management software systems. Videotel developed the API in collaboration with software and solutions developer Netvision, whose products include Compas, one of the leading crew management systems for the maritime industry. The Videotel Partner API is designed to be used with any crew management software; there is no additional fee for the service. The Videotel Partner API is designed to allow Videotel and crew management systems, including Compas, to communicate with each other and automatically update and share information.

New Alliance Forms UOCC

United Overseas Tankers Ltd. (UOT), a General Maritime Corporation wholly-owned subsidiary, has entered into a alliance with Columbia Shipmanagement Ltd. to provide crew management services for all of General Maritime's vessels. The alliance will be named United Overseas Columbia Crewing Ltd. (UOCC) and will be responsible for such services as crew recruitment, training, payroll and quality control management. John P. CrewInspector, an online crew management software provider, has been awarded a contract by Ropetec International Ltd, for the provision of a crew management solution for the support of its offshore operations. CrewInspector has integrated crewing software across Ropetec offices in Africa and the Middle East, namely in South Africa, Angola, Ghana, Republic of Congo, Namibia, Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates. The agreement guaranteed safe data migration from the legacy HR software to CrewInspector including all data related to crew personal information and certification.

CMB Acquires 27% of Anglo-Eastern Group

CMB announces that its 100% subsidiary Bocimar Hong Kong has concluded an agreement to acquire a 27% stake in the Anglo-Eastern Group (www.angloeastern.com). The Anglo-Eastern Group primarily focuses its activities on the provision of ship management, crew management and newbuilding consultancy services. The acquisition is still subject to due diligence. CMB expects to finalise this acquisition in the course of the month of August. Through this acquisition CMB intends to establish itself in this specialised sector and secure its access to ship management and crew management services.

CrewInspector.com: Change Crew Management Software

CrewInspector.com an online crew management software provider conducted an online survey asking its corporate website visitors crewing agents, vessel owners and managers to answer question if they are happy with their current crewing software they utilize within their company. HITS Selects AMOS for Six Ships

(MMS), a company with more than a decade’s worth of experience in crew management for offshore oil and gas vessels primarily in the U.S. Gulf, Singapore and Gulf of Mexico. MMS offers crewmembers services such as visas, flag-state and immigration documentation; crewmember certifications, including Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STWC) and any client or operational area requirements; logistics, administrative and travel support; and much more.

Videotel Simplifies Management of Crew Records

Videotel Marine International, a maritime training solutions provider, has released an Application Programming Interface (API) service in order for its clients to be able to manage their crew training records housed within webFTA - Videotel’s powerful cloud-based training records management program - directly from their own Crew Management System (CMS) portal. Videotel’s API service has two main processes, Videotel said, namely, pulling crew data from the Videotel cloud so it can be displayed in the CMS portal and, secondly, pushing crew data from the CMS portal to the Videotel cloud which, in turn, triggers crew data to be sent to the vessels automatically.

V.Ships Leisure to Manage Vessel Operations of Windstar Cruises

Ambassadors International Cruise Group has selected V.Ships Leisure to manage the vessel operations of Windstar Cruises following its acquisition which is anticipated to be completed in April 2007.
