RIBCRAFT Awarded U.S. GSA Supply Contract

RIBCRAFT USA's line of rigid inflatable boats has been approved for the U.S. Government's General Services Administration (GSA) Awards Schedule, a government approved listing of suppliers and manufacturers for all government agencies. The GSA Awards Schedule provides United States federal agencies, their affiliates, and other "friendly nations" access to RIBCRAFT's entire model line, which range from 15 to 26 ft. , as well as all accessories. Inclusion in the Schedule enables government contracting officers to purchase all RIBCRAFT models, with the assurance that the company is offering their agency RIBCRAFT's most favored customer status. Government customers can access all of RIBCRAFT's product information through GSA's procurement website, GSA Advantage.

Ribcrafts for James City County Police

Ribcraft, manufacturer of professional grade rigid inflatable boats for law enforcement, safety professionals, and military agencies, announced the delivery of two Ribcraft 6.5's to the James City County Police Department in James City, Va. The RIBs will be used by the county police for rapid response, patrol, interdiction, boarding, and dive team operations. Given the vast navigable and high traffic waters within the county, the two 21-ft Ribcraft 6.5's will provide enhanced on water coverage for patrols and search and rescue.

RIBCRAFT Delivers Two Tour Boats

Rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) manufacturer RIBCRAFT announced the recent deliveries of two USCG Sub Chapter T Certified Tour Boats to customers in Hawaii and Florida. The two certified 30’ RIBCRAFT 9.0s – one to the Four Seasons Hualalai Resort in Hawaii and one to Aqua Adventure Tours in Florida – were built to meet the unique needs of each company. The vessels feature a combination of jockey-style pod seats and benches for accommodating up to 15 guests on eco and adventure tours.

Ribcraft Donates Defibrillators

Ribcraft announced that in honor of American Heart Month, it is donating a defibrillator to any professional customer ordering a Ribcraft rescue RIB in the month of February. Each year, roughly 250,000 people die from sudden cardiac arrest. Defibrillation is the only known therapy to treat an individual in cardiac arrest. Delivering an electrical shock to the heart can restore the heart's normal rhythm; however, it must be done within minutes of the arrest. For every minute that passes without defibrillation, a victim's chance of survival decreases by seven to 10 percent. After as few as 10 minutes, very few resuscitation attempts are successful.

Ribcraft Signs Contracts with USCG, USAF

Ribcraft USA entered into a multi-boat contract with the U.S. and will supply the U.S. Mitigator 7.8 m boat. The Air Force order represents the first in a series of orders from federal, state and local agencies for this newly launched craft. The Ribcraft Mitigator will be used in conjunction with the Air Force's Para Rescue activities along the Florida coastline. The Patrick Air Force Base Para Rescue team will use this new RIB for near shore rescue and recovery operations for the airfields and occasional space launches. Ribcraft Expands Production Facility

Ribcraft a builder of professional grade rigid inflatable boats (RIBs), headquartered in Marblehead, Massachusetts, announced that it is expanding their production facilities to meet the growing demand from professional and recreational customers. "As most boat builders are scaling production way back, we are fortunate to be growing and expanding. More and more recreational boaters and marine professionals are turning to RIBs because of their inherent efficiencies and superior performance over solid sided boats", said Ribcraft President, Brian Gray. He continued, "The marine industry is in trouble with most segments reporting decreases of as much as 40% from the previous year. The exception is the RIB market.

RIBCRAFT Offers Special Pricing

RIBCRAFT, a builder of professional grade rigid inflatable boats (RIB) for sailing programs and yacht clubs announced today that during the month of January all sailing programs and yacht clubs will receive special discounted pricing. Sailing programs and yacht clubs that place their order for a new RIB by January 31st  will receive a 5% discount off of the total sales price. In addition to the discount, RIBCRAFT is guaranteeing delivery of the boat for the start of the 2012 sailing season. “Offering special pricing for the month of January is part of our continued commitment to the sport. It’s a great opportunity for new clubs to get into a RIBCRAFT coach or support boat or for current customers to add an additional boat to their fleet”, said Brian Gray, President of RIBCRAFT.

Ribcraft Provides Boat Operator Training

Ribcraft will provide complimentary small boat operator training to professional customers who order a Ribcraft rescue RIB during the month of April. Rescue boat operations in rough seas, strong winds, and along rocky shorelines are a challenge even to experienced and well trained crews, but when the urgency of a response combines with the skill needed to maneuver a vessel alongside people in the water, recreational boating experience is often insufficient to safely operate a rescue craft.

Special Op Presidential RIBs Delivered

Ribcraft completed commissioning exercises for a fleet of RIBCRAFT 7.8's delivered to the Philippines Presidential Security Group earlier this year. The RIBs will be used by the Presidential Security Group to detect, identify, and disable potential threats in the vicinity of the Presidential Palace located on the in . Under the contract, RIBCRAFT directed final commissioning and post delivery inspections in country earlier this month. The all black RIBs, with blacked out hulls, tubes, consoles, frames, and antennas, are designed to not only destroy potential threats to the Palace but to intimidate vessels from approaching. Intended for rapid response, the 25.8 ft. RIBCRAFT 7.8s are outfitted with twin 150 hp Honda four stroke outboards.

New Ribcrafts for Clinton First Aid & Rescue

Ribcraft recently delivered an AF 14 to Clinton First Aid and Rescue located in Clinton, N.J. The fully inflatable boat, which is part of Ribcraft’s AF line of inflatable boats, will be used by the department for shallow water rescues and applications requiring easy deployment. The 13.8-ft AF 14 features heavy duty 1880 dtx Hypalon tubes, removable rigid floor, and an innovative hull and tube design designed to carry large payloads on a plane while at the same time delivering unsurpassed performance and maneuverability.

RIBCRAFT Delivers Patrol Boats to NJ Fish & Wildlife

Ribcraft Builds 6.8M RIBS for Fugro Seacore

British boat manufacturer Ribcraft will officially hand over the second in a batch of specially built 6.8M RIBS to overwater Marine Drilling Contractor Fugro Seacore at Seawork 2012. Ribcraft Delivers Rescue Boats

Ribcraft announced the delivery of several 15-ft. fire rescue craft to Ancom Systems Inc., an international supplier of rescue equipment. Ancom Systems, with offices in Ontario, Canada, supplies rescue and safety equipment to the Chinese Markets. Specializing in first responders and private industry, Ancom has introduced the Ribcraft 4.8 rescue craft, measuring 15.5 ft., as a standard marine offering. The first boats delivered will be employed by the Chengdu Fire Department in Chengdu, China for use on several large inland bodies of water in their jurisdiction. The Ribcraft 4.8s delivered to Ancom Systems featured red Hypalon tubes complete with added bow reinforcing, an aft bench seat with storage, and a stainless steel A frame with a red light bar.

Captain Phillips to Publicly thank USS Bainbridge

For the first time since his dramatic rescue at sea, Captain Richard Phillips of the Maersk Alabama will publicly thank the commanding officer and crew of the USS Bainbridge during a ceremony in Norfolk, Virginia on November 19. The ceremony will take place on the fantail of guided missile cruiser at 2 p.m. The USS Bainbridge will be moored on the downtown Norfolk waterfront. The Maersk container ship was captured by rogue pirates off the coast of Somalia on April 8. Captain Phillips offered himself as a hostage in exchange for the safety of his crew. For four days, while the world watched, Phillips was held captive in a 25-foot lifeboat.

Free Gas from Ribcraft

Ribcraft announced a unique solution to raising fuel costs - free gas for the season. "Consumers have been shaken by the spike in fuel prices. There's been a lot of talk about boaters staying ashore this coming season because of sky rocketing fuel prices" said Brian Gray, President of Ribcraft. "We don't think gas prices should keep people away from doing what they love to do or have to do. There are already states and municipalities planning to cut back on-water patrols due to fuel prices; we see that as a recipe for disaster and want to do our part to insure cut backs don't happen".
