IOC to Lift U.S. Crude for December Delivery
Indian Oil Corp, the country's largest refiner, has bought two new types of U.S. crude for December delivery as it tests different grades from the United States, trade sources said on Tuesday. IOC bought 1 million barrels each of U.S. Southern Green Canyon (SGC) and WTI Midland crude likely from a Chinese trader, the people said, speaking on condition of anonymity. The purchase was in addition to 2 million barrels of Basra Light crude to be delivered in the same month.

Yamal LNG to Ship Two LNG Cargoes in November
The Russian Yamal LNG project will ship the first two cargoes of liquefied natural gas in November, followed by another four in December, Russia's customs service said on Tuesday. Master Marine Delivers for Waterfront Services
Master Marine has delivered the first of four 67’ x 28’ fleet boats to Waterfront Services Co. Each boat will be powered by a pair of Laborde Products, Inc. S6R2-Y3MPTAW Mitsubishi 803 HP tier III diesel marine engines to be operated at 1,400 RPM coupled to Twin Disc MG 5321, 5:1 gears, E300 electronic controls with RW Fernstrum, Inc. keel coolers. Electrical power was also provided by Laborde Products, Inc.
Update: Transnet Refloats Vessel Grounded at Port of Durban Entrance
One of three vessels that has grounded in the Port of Durban today due to inclement weather has been successfully refloated and remoored alongside. Port teams remain on scene attending to the remaining vessels. TNPA has also managed to contain containers that had blown into the bay. At this stage vessel movements in the Port of Durban remain suspended until futher notice. No severe disruptions have been reported thus far at the Port of Richards Bay.

USS Washington Commissioned
The U.S. Navy’s newest Virginia class submarine, USS Washington (SSN 787), was officially commissioned during a ceremony on board Naval Station Norfolk, Va. on October 7. Washington, named in honor of the 42nd state, is the 14th Virginia-class, fast-attack submarine to join the Navy's operational fleet. Elisabeth Mabus, daughter of the 75th Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus, served as the submarine’s sponsor. Washington is the fourth of eight Block III Virginia-class submarines to be built.

Konecranes for Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals
Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals Pte Ltd (BMCT), a wholly owned subsidiary of PSA International Pte Ltd (PSA), exercised its option to purchase a further 18 Konecranes Noell Rubber Tired Gantry (RTG) cranes. This order follows upon an initial order for 18 RTG and 4 RMG cranes that will be delivered by the end of this year. The 18 RTGs currently on order will be delivered in two lots: 9 units will be delivered by August 2018, and the remaining 9 by end-2018.

Statoil Selects Gas4Sea for LNG Bunkering in Rotterdam
Gas4Sea partners - ENGIE, Mitsubishi Corporation and NYK - have been selected by Norwegian multinational energy group Statoil to be their liquefied natural gas (LNG) marine fuel supplier in the port of Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, for four crude shuttle tankers. The four planned dual fuel vessels are to come into service in early 2020 and will be operated by Statoil in Northern European seas. Gas4Sea will supply LNG using the ENGIE Zeebrugge which started operations earlier this year.

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha ('K' Line) has decided to install “Optimum Weather Routing System” developed by Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) to operated/managed vessels in our fleet. This system provides the minimum fuel consumption route in consideration of the safety navigation, hence we are planning to install the system in about 120 vessels by 2021, as part of the system which is the KAWASAKI Integrated Maritime Solution “K-IMS” that we developed in collaboration with KHI group.
