Tallink Grupp 2025 Net Profit Exceeds EUR 17 Million

AS Tallink Grupp has published its unaudited financial results for the 2025 financial year. The Group’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) totaled EUR 130 million, and net profit reached EUR 17.3 million. Tallink Grupp and its subsidiaries contributed EUR 97 million in taxes to the Estonian state budget, and the company plans to continue paying dividends in the current year. Tallink Shuttle to Run Entirely on Renewable Energy

Tallink's shuttle ships on the Tallinn–Helsinki route are making a big leap towards using cleaner fuel, soon to be fully powered by renewable energy. In January, 74% of the fuel used by Megastar and MyStar was liquefied biomethane (LBM). Tallink Passenger Numbers Remained Stable in 2025

Silja Symphony Passenger Vessel in for Service

Tallink Charters Cruise Ship to Algeria

AS Tallink Grupp has signed a charter agreement with Algeria’s state-owned company Madar Maritime Company for the cruise ship Romantika.Romantika will be chartered along with its technical crew for nine months starting Saturday, May 31. AS Tallink Grupp: First Quarter Net Loss Amounts to $37 Million

AS Tallink Grupp has published its unaudited financial results for the first quarter of the current financial year to the stock exchange. The net loss for the period amounted to USD$37.7 million (EUR 33.2 million).“The first quarter was undoubtedly challenging for the company. Consumer and business confidence remains low, with the economic situation in our home markets and ongoing global geopolitical tensions setting the tone. In 2025, about USD $0.20 (EUR 0.20) from each Captain’s chocolate bar sold onboard company’s vessels will be donated to the foundation towards key partnership projects aimed at saving the Baltic Sea, its environment and culture. AS Tallink Grupp: Q1 Sees a Decline in Transportation

In the first quarter of the year, AS Tallink Grupp transported 970,359 passengers, which is 12% less than in the same period last year. Rauma Shipyard Launches Second RoPax Ferry for Tasmania

Finnish shipbuilder Rauma Marine Constructions celebrated the launch of the Spirit of Tasmania V, a the second of two new car and passenger ferries for the Tasmanian TT-Line Company.The vessel’s godmother is Her Excellency the Horourable Barbara Baker, Governor of Tasmania.The vessels will operate between Geelong and Devonport on Australia’s Bass Strait, a route known for its challenging sea conditions. The ferries will replace their sister ships built in Finland in the 1990s.

Silja Europe Propulsion Control Makeover Aims to Save 6% on Fuel

Qtagg recently secured an order on a total upgrade of Silja Europa’s propulsion control system, a makeover designed to decrease the ship’s fuel consumption by 6% and CO2 emissions by 2096 tons yearly, according to the manufacturer. The overhaul includes engine speed governors, fuel rack actuators, pitch control and voyage optimization with EcoPilot.At 59,912 gt, Silja Europa is Tallink’s largest cruise vessel. Until the summer of 2022 it operated on the Baltic Sea, between Helsinki (Finland) – Tallinn (Estonia).

RMC Begins Building Spirit of Tasmania RoPax

Finnish shipbuilder Rauma Marine Constructions said it has started building the first of two new car and passenger ferries for Spirit of Tasmania (TT-Line Company). Finnish shipbuilder Rauma Marine Constructions (RMC) said it resumed production on Thursday after it paused operations last week following a COVID-19 outbreak among its workforce.The company halted production last Friday after a cluster of coronavirus infections was discovered at the Rauma shipyard.
