SHI Wins Order for 2 LNG Carriers
South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) has received an order for the construction of two liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.The shipbuilder said in a stock exchange annoucement that it had secured a deal worth KRW 450bn ($381m) with a Bermuda-registered client.The newbuilds are planned to be delivered by the end of June 2022. With the addition of the latest order, SHI has seen its orders for LNG carriers reach 10 units.
Chinese Buyers Leave US LNG

Record cargo volumes are moving across The Port of Virginia and doing so with efficiency as a result of expanded container handling capacity at its two primary container terminals.In May, the port processed nearly 261,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) making it the busiest May in the port’s history. American Cruise Lines announced that its second of a new class of modern riverboat, the American Harmony, moved under its own power to the shipyard’s outfitting pier for final touches.
